Just under a month ago, one of the games of the season was played out in the Premier League as AFC Bournemouth came from 3-0 down to beat Luton Town 4-3 at the Vitality Stadium. The two teams meet again on Saturday (15:00) with the Hatters looking to exact revenge.

It won't be easy, however. The Cherries are on an impressive run having won three on the bounce and four of their last five, while Luton have failed to win in their last 10 attempts. Form is with the visitors here, as are our Luton vs Bournemouth predictions, which include match odds and team news.

Luton vs Bournemouth Betting Tips

  • Bournemouth and both teams to score - Yes @ 2/1
  • Tahith Chong to score anytime @ 3/1

Match Odds

Luton are 13/5, or a 27.8% chance, of picking up their first win since January on Saturday. Bournemouth are valued at 10/11, implying a probability of 52.4% to get the victory and extend their winning run to four matches. The draw can be backed at 3/1, which has a 25% chance of landing.

Both teams to score is priced at 4/9, which has landed in nine of Luton's last 11 Premier League matches at Kenilworth Road. BTTS has also landed in the Hatters' last nine in the league (both home and away), as well as in five of Bournemouth's last six trips on the road in the top-flight.

Over 2.5 goals is on offer at 1/2. Dominic Solanke has netted 16 goals in the league this season for the Cherries and only Manchester City's Erling Haaland has scored more (18). The Englishman is 100/30 to score first on Saturday and 9/10 to score anytime.

Luton's Carlton Morris has netted eight times himself this term and is valued at 9/5 to score anytime in this one.

Team News

Hatters boss Rob Edwards will be pleased that his side didn't pick up any injuries in the midweek defeat to Arsenal, and will have been pleased to have been able to select Tahith Chong and Alfie Doughty for the matchday squad, after both picked up knocks at Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

This does not shy away from the fact that the former Watford boss has got to deal with a lot of injuries right now, which are hindering his survival mission. Gabriel Osho, Reece Burke, Chiedozie Ogbene, Jacob Brown, Elijah Adebayo, Amari'i Bell, Marvelous Nakamba, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Mads Andersen and Dan Potts are either injured or doubts to feature this weekend.

It doesn't leave Edwards with many options.

Bournemouth have had to deal with their own injury problems of late but things are starting to look better. Andoni Iraola only has to contend without Luis Sinisterra and Ryan Fredericks, who are both in the treatment room, while Marcos Senesi is a doubt to feature after his own recent injury. Chris Mepham could also be in contention after recently suffering with illness.

Bournemouth and both teams to score - Yes @ 2/1

When you see Luton's injury list, particularly at just how many defensive players are missing, you see just why they are finding it difficult to get back to winning ways.

Sorry Hatters fans, but we think your woes are to continue for a little while longer here. Bournemouth's recent run has got them riding a wave of momentum and they will see an opportunity to finish this season in the top half.

Having recently played the hosts and beat them, overcoming a three-goal deficit, they will head to Luton in high spirits and fancying themselves to prevail once again and keep their winning streak going.

However, Luton will be a handful, especially at home. Iraola's men cannot forget how they were torn apart in the first half a month ago and they cannot afford to underestimate the hosts again.

Before losing to Arsenal, Luton had scored in 20 consecutive Premier League matches, which signifies just how well they have adapted to the level this season. Bournemouth's defence isn't the best, as Luton showed last month. So there should be more goals for them to enjoy here, but we're still expecting the Cherries to come out on top.

Bournemouth and both teams to score at 2/1

Tahith Chong to score anytime @ 3/1

For this contest, the most probable goalscorer is of course Solanke due to the number he has scored this season, but he doesn't offer the best value. We've already expressed the reasons why we think Luton will score this weekend, and going one further we think Chong can get on the scoresheet.

The Luton midfielder scored the opening goal at Spurs last weekend, which was his fourth of the campaign. Three of his goals have come in the last six matches and he has started to cement himself as a real asset to Edwards' team.

He was handed a second-half cameo at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night and did make an impact as Luton became a lot more threatening to the Gunners. It is also worth noting that Chong netted in last month's seven-goal thriller against Bournemouth, so the visitors will need to be wary of the quality he possesses.

At 3/1, we think the former Birmingham City man is well worth a punt to get on the scoresheet here.

Tahith Chong to score anytime at 3/1
