Following victories over Esperance Sportive de Tunis (2-0) and Chelsea (3-1), Flamengo have already claimed top spot in Group D of the 2025 Fifa Club World Cup ahead of their final group game against Los Angeles FC on Wednesday (02:00 BST, DAZN). The question now is, will the Brazilians take their foot off the gas and allow their American counterparts, who lost their first two matches, to recover some respectability?

Below are my Los Angeles vs Flamengo Bet Builder Tips, as I serve up a 9/1 four-fold from Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

Los Angeles vs Flamengo Bet Builder Tips

  • Both Teams to Score - Yes
  • Total Shots - Over 26.5
  • Evertton Gustavo Fernandes Araujo (FLA) Total Shots - 2+
  • Denis Bouanga (LAF) Total Shots on Target - 2+

Both Teams to Score - Yes

LAFC are one of just three teams, alongside part-time New Zealand outfit Auckland City and UAE side Al Ain, yet to score at the 32-team Club World Cup, missing a golden opportunity to get themselves off the mark last time out against ES Tunis as their main man, Denis Bouanga, saw a spot-kick saved in the 11th minute of second-half stoppage time.

Still, they have one more game to go to avoid the indignity of finishing the tournament without a goal to their name, and against a Flamengo side that has already qualified for the last 16 as winners of Group D, they have a great opportunity to bow out of the competition with a strike or two.

Today's Football Fixtures

Flamengo kept a clean sheet in their victory over ES Tunis but fell behind to a 13th-minute Pedro Neto strike against Chelsea before going on to win 3-1. The Blues were reduced to 10 men in the 68th minute following Nicolas Jackson's red card, but Enzo Maresca's men still managed a further five efforts at the Rubro Negro's goal in Philadelphia.

I'm expecting Flamengo's head coach, Filipe Luis, to ring the changes on Wednesday, with top spot already secured, and alterations, particularly in defence, should help LAFC to grab a goal at Camping World Stadium.

I don't expect the Americans to keep a clean sheet, though, after conceding five shots on target to Chelsea in their 2-0 defeat to the Blues, and four on target to ES Tunis in their 1-0 loss to the Tunisians.

Flamengo are likely to name a much-changed starting XI, but their fringe players will be keen to impress ahead of the knockout stage, and there are some very talented attackers set to take centre stage, namely Pedro and Wallace Yan, the latter having scored off the bench against Chelsea last week.

Total Shots - Over 26.5

Neither LAFC nor Flamengo have seen a CWC match go over 26.5 shots yet, with the most in Group D so far being the 24 attempted in Chelsea's victory over the MLS side on June 16.

However, there are reasons to believe that we are in for an entertaining contest in Orlando, with neither the Americans nor the Brazilians having anything to lose on Wednesday.

LAFC will want to bow out with grace, getting themselves on the scoresheet at least, so I can't see Steve Cherundolo's charges being too defensive at Camping World Stadium.

Los Angeles vs Flamengo Odds

Flamengo, meanwhile, will want to keep up their 100% record and add LAFC to their list of victims in the USA.

As mentioned already, several of their out-of-favour stars could start against the Black and Gold, and will want to paint themselves in a favourable light ahead of their side's last-16 tie.

FC Porto's final Group A game against Al Ahly in the early hours of Tuesday (UK time) saw 40 shots recorded as the sides played out a 4-4 thriller, while there were 30 efforts in Inter Miami's 2-2 stalemate with Palmeiras at the same time, so there is a precedent set for end-of-the-group-stage fun, and I think LAFC and Flamengo will join in the party with at least 27 attempts between them.

Los Angeles vs Flamengo Bet Builder Stats

  • Evertton Araujo (FLA) has recorded 2+ shots in two of his last three league games
  • Denis Bouanga (LAF) registered three shots on target against Chelsea, one against ES Tunis

Evertton Gustavo Fernandes Araujo (FLA) Total Shots - 2+

One man who could benefit from his manager ringing the changes is Evertton Araujo, who remained rooted to the bench in Flamengo's first two group games.

The 22-year-old midfielder scored in his last appearance, though, striking Flamengo's second in a 5-0 thrashing of Fortaleza on June 6, the Rubro-Negro's final Serie A match before heading over to the USA.

Evertton shot twice against Fortaleza, the second time in his last three league games that he had recorded 2+ attempts, having tried his luck a couple of times in the goalless draw with Botafogo on May 18.

Football Odds

Meanwhile, in his first two Carioca starts earlier this year, he shot twice against Sampaio Correa-RJ and Portuguesa-RJ.

Should Evertton get the nod to begin Wednesday's contest, I think he looks good for 2+ shots.

Denis Bouanga (LAF) Total Shots on Target - 2+

It was heartbreak for Bouanga and LAFC last Friday as the Gabon international's late spot-kick was saved by ES Tunis goalkeeper Bechir Ben Said, which proved fatal for the Black and Gold's qualification hopes.

Bouanga will surely be desperate to atone for his error on Wednesday, and I can see him firing shots off from all angles in a bid to get himself on the scoresheet.

The 30-year-old was responsible for three of his side's seven efforts against Chelsea, hitting the target with all three attempts as Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez denied him on every occasion.

He failed to get any of his first four shots against ES Tunis on target, but recorded one with his fifth, the saved penalty kick in the dying embers.

In MLS this year, Bouanga is averaging five shots per game (4.6 p/g in 2024) and 2.4 shots on target per game (1.8 p/g in 2024). In the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup, he averaged 5.2 shots per game and 2.5 shots on target per game.

The stats look promising for Bouanga to get another couple of efforts on target in Orlando.
