This might not be the Premier League title decider it was originally built as, but Liverpool against Arsenal is always a big game that both teams want to win. The top two face off at Anfield on Sunday afternoon (16:30, live on Sky Sports Main Event), with the home fans still in party mode having secured their 20th league title a fortnight ago.

Liverpool vs Arsenal Odds

With Liverpool losing just one home league game this season, it’s no surprise that they are 21/20 favourites to collect the three points.

Arsenal, who have won just one of their last five Premier League games, can be backed at 13/5 while the draw is available at 11/4.

Team News

Liverpool made several changes to the starting XI at Chelsea last weekend and there is likely to be some more chopping and changing by Arne Slot this Sunday.

The Reds manager has confirmed that Connor Bradley will start at right-back against Arsenal, after this week’s announcement that Trent Alexander-Arnold will be leaving the club this summer.

Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister and Andy Robertson were among the three regulars that were named on the bench and all three could return against the Gunners.

Slot has said that Joe Gomez could play again before the end of the season, after a long-term hamstring problem, but Sunday is likely to come too soon.

Arteta is expected to freshen up his team following Wednesday’s defeat, with one likely change at left-back.

Myles Lewis-Skelly looks set to be given a break and the fit-again Riccardo Calafiori could replace him, having come off the bench in midweek against Paris Saint-Germain.

Jorginho, who was an unused substitute in the PSG defeat, has recovered from a hip problem and may be handed a chance to start in the middle of the park.

Liverpool to win @ 21/20

Since April 2024, only Nottingham Forest and Paris-Saint Germain have won at Anfield and Liverpool have won their last seven Premier League games on home soil.

The champions head into Sunday’s clash after an understandably flat display at Chelsea last week but, with a full house at Anfield, expect a better performance this time around.

You have to go back to 2012 for the last time Arsenal won a league game at Liverpool and it’s going to be hard for the Gunners to respond after three defeats on the spin.

A 2-1 home loss to Bournemouth was followed by a Champions League defeat to PSG in midweek, despite a much-improved display in the French capital.

Arsenal’s efforts in Paris in a losing cause will have taken a lot out of them, while Liverpool have had a free week to prepare for Sunday’s clash.

Luis Diaz to score anytime @ 23/10

Having been dropped to the bench at Stamford Bridge, Luis Diaz looks likely to return to the starting line-up on Sunday.

Mohamed Salah is on course to collect the Premier League Golden Boot, with 28 goals to his name, but it’s also been an impressive season for his team-mate Diaz.

The Colombian forward has enjoyed his best goalscoring campaign since joining the Reds from Porto in January 2022.

The 28-year-old has found the net 12 times in the league and, with three games remaining, will feel he can further add to that tally.

Diaz has scored in the last two Anfield fixtures, including the important equaliser in the title-clinching win over Tottenham.
