Lorient vs Paris FC Prediction: Quarter-final spot heading Lorient’s way

Paris FC are basking in the euphoria of their 1-0 Coupe de France last-32 victory over Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes, but Wednesday's clash (19:30 GMT) with Lorient can quickly bring the Parisians back down to earth.
A spot in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France is the prize at the Stade du Moustoir and with two-time defending champions and record 16-time winners PSG out of the way, hopes of overall glory are higher than they may ordinarily be for the teams still standing.

Lorient vs Paris FC Stats
- Paris FC have won only four of their last 15 games
- Paris FC have conceded 34 goals in their 20 contests
Lorient to win @ 23/20
Paris FC provided the Coupe de France highlight when dumping out defending champions PSG at the last-32 stage of this year’s competition and the Parisians will be hoping to repeat the trick at Lorient on Wednesday night.
PSG’s exit has the rest of Ligue 1 on red alert with cup glory now far more obtainable, but Paris FC may struggle to follow up their shock success.
Stephane Gilli’s side have won only four of their last 15 games and the victory over the European champions was a bolt from the blue.
Paris FC have been successful in just five Ligue 1 games all season, with only one of those coming on the road, while they have shipped 34 goals in their 20 contests, the fourth worst defensive record in the division.
Gilli's men rode their luck in overcoming PSG in the last round as they were outshot 23-4, lost the on-target count 7-2 and the number of big chances 6-1, while they didn't force a single corner. They look vulnerable at Lorient.
The Merlucciidaes are very tough to beat at the Stade du Moustoir and have lost only one of 10 home league matches this term. They have have won four matches on the bounce, are unbeaten in their last 11 and are a side playing with confidence and belief.

Bamba Dieng to score first @ 5/1
Bamba Dieng showed plenty of promise as a young forward at Marseille and the 25-year-old may now be releasing his potential.
The Senegalese is enjoying his best goalscoring spell for Lorient, having scored five goals in his last five appearances.
Dieng opened the scoring at home to Nantes on Saturday, having also done so in the 3-1 win over Monaco, and he looks good value to do the same when Paris FC come to town.
