Leicester City will be hoping they can secure their first Premier League win of the season when they take on AFC Bournemouth at the King Power Stadium on Saturday (15:00). The Foxes suffered a 4-2 defeat at Arsenal last weekend, but their two goals will give them some confidence ahead of this latest challenge.

The Cherries got back to winning ways on Monday as they defeated Southampton 3-1 on home soil, and they will be hoping to build on that in Leicestershire. Read on for my Leicester vs Bournemouth prediction, including match odds and team news.

Leicester vs Bournemouth Betting Tips

  • Bournemouth and both teams to score @ 13/5
  • Antoine Semenyo anytime goalscorer @ 13/8

Leicester vs Bournemouth Odds

Leicester are 21/10, or a 32.3% chance, to pick up their first three points of the season. Bournemouth are valued at 11/10, giving them an implied probability of 47.6%. The draw is available at 13/5 (27.8%).

Over 2.5 goals can be backed at 4/6, while both teams to score is marketed at 4/7.

Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo has netted three goals in the top-flight so far. He is 5/1 to open the scoring at the King Power, or 13/8 to find the back of the net at any stage during the match.

Leicester winger Stephy Mavididi has two for himself and he has an anytime price of 11/5.

Team News

The hosts are missing Patson Daka, Jakub Stolarczyk and Hamza Choudhury as a result of injury, while Jannik Vestergaard has returned to training but it is unlikely he will feature on Saturday.

Leicester's back four of James Justin, Wout Faes, Caleb Okoli and Rasmus Kristiansen should remain unchanged, even though the Foxes are conceding an average of two goals per game this season.

Midfielder Oliver Skipp could be dropped down to the bench in favour of Bilal El Khannous, who could operate in the space behind striker Jamie Vardy, who is still going strong at the age of 37. The Leicester number nine boasts an impressive record against the Cherries, with seven goals in 14 appearances.

Bournemouth remain without the services of American midfielder Tyler Adams, who has been plagued with injuries since moving to the south coast. It is hoped he will be fit enough to return after the international break.

Record signing Evanilson finally got his first Premier League goal on Monday, so he will be feeling confident ahead of the trip to Leicester. Justin Kluivert was dropped to the bench against the Saints, with Dango Ouattara coming into the side. It remains to be seen if Andoni Iraola will return Kluivert back to the starting XI on Saturday.

There was some surprise that Adam Smith was the starting right-back on Monday, so we could see Julian Araujo come into the side to face the Foxes. The midfield pairing of Lewis Cook and Ryan Christie should remain unchanged.

Bournemouth and both teams to score @ 13/5

Leicester boss Steve Cooper will be desperate to secure his first league win in charge of the Foxes, but I can't see that happening against Bournemouth. Iraola's men were most impressive on Monday but of course there is always a trail of inconsistency with their performances.

The good thing for them, though, is that they are coming up against a team that are yet to win a game, and who have conceded 12 goals already. Only Everton (15) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (16) have seen more goals go past them than the Foxes.

This is an excellent opportunity for the Cherries to post back-to-back wins in the top-flight for the first time in 2024/25. With Brazilian forward Evanilson off the mark, the visitors will be hoping for more consistent returns from their record signing, while Semenyo's game has come up a level since the start of the new term.

Cook was the maestro in midfield against Southampton and he will look to dictate the tempo of the match at the King Power on Saturday.

Bournemouth will be pleased by the manner of their victory on Monday night, and they will be hoping they can now find their rhythm as they bid to move up the league table. I think with the quality of their attackers, and the fragility of Leicester's defence, they should come out on top.

However, I think both teams to score is worth backing because it has been a winning selection in all six of Leicester's league matches to date this season.

Antoine Semenyo anytime goalscorer @ 13/8

This man has been evolving greatly on the pitch of late, making himself one of Bournemouth's most important players. I remember watching him in the Championship for Bristol City and although there was a talent there, it was clear that something was required to unlock Semenyo's true potential.

Iraola seems to have found the answer because the attacker is excelling in the right-sided attacking spot for the Cherries. He scored his third league goal of the campaign against the Saints on Monday, and he will be relishing the chance to play against one of the worst-performing defences in the league.

Semenyo is continuing to grow as a player, and this can be aided by him scoring in back-to-back matches for the first time this season.
