It's top versus bottom when Leicester take on Rotherham at the King Power Stadium on Saturday (15:00)

Leaders Leicester made it four wins in a row on Monday night with a fine 3-2 success at Birmingham and will expect to back that up with another three points at the expense of bottom club Rotherham.

The Millers are without a win in ten and without an away win in over 13 months, so will surely fear the worst.

Leicester vs Rotherham Prediction

  • Leicester to win and Both Teams to Score @ 2/1
  • Rotherham +5 Corner Handicap @ 4/5

Team news

Foxes' coach Enzo Maresca has plenty of options even without Jamie Vardy, Kasey McAteer and one or two others.

Tom Cannon and Kelechi Iheanacho are both pressing to dislodge Patson Daka in attack while Hamza Choudhury could also be in line for a start if Maresca wants to freshen up ahead of Boxing Day's crunch showdown at Ipswich.

As for Rotherham, centre-back Daniel Ayala is suspended again, though new boss Leam Richardson is hopeful Cafu, Sam Clucas or Fred Onyedinma could be involved after returning from injuries.

Match Odds

Forty-four points separates these sides after just 22 fixtures so hardly any surprise Leicester go off 1/7. Rotherham are 18/1 and unbackable, even at that price, given they haven't won a road game since November 2022. The draw is 13/2.

For those anticipating a hammering, Rotherham were at least competitive when Leicester arrived at the New York Stadium in August, Enzo Maresca's men leaving it late to register a 2-1 win.

Having said that, Leicester are 4/6 to win to nil and 21/20 to win both halves. A repeat 2-1 scoreline to Leicester is a 9/1 chance

Leicester to win and Both Teams to Score @ 2/1

New Millers' boss Leam Richardson has to be heartened by the spirit Rotherham showed at Plymouth last week, going down 3-2 to an injury-time winner despite playing most of the second half with ten men.

No one has ever questioned their spirit, it's just attacking talent that has been scarce, so scoring twice at Home Park was encouraging.

Just as heartening for Richardson was seeing Birmingham a couple of days later convert two of eight efforts in a narrow 3-2 loss to Leicester at St Andrews.

There isn't an awful lot to cheer Rotherham fans at the moment and they have to fear the worst going into the Foxes' den.

But they found the net in defeat when the sides last met in South Yorkshire in the summer and a similar occurrence – Leicester win & Both Teams to Score – is suggested at 2/1.

Rotherham +5 Corner Handicap @ 4/5

Rotherham would prefer to keep the score down than the corner count, but they can console themselves that the latter is definitely possible.

Back at the New York Stadium the Millers won the corner count, 5-4, a rare success which counted for nothing tangible but offered a clue for a bet at the King Power.

Leicester average 6.5 corners at home but give up 4.3 and Rotherham only give up 6.7 on their travels.

Asking Rotherham to cover a corner spread of five looks reasonable.
