League Two is beginning to take shape as the talented teams at the top start to stamp their mark on the division. We’ve got a whole host of fixtures to analyse this weekend, and we’ve picked out a treble for you to consider this Saturday.

League Two Accumulator Tips:

  • Mansfield Town to beat Walsall @ 1/2
  • Salford City to beat Barrow @ 13/5
  • Crewe Alexandra to beat Harrogate @ 13/10

Treble pays 12/1

Mansfield Town to beat Walsall @ 1/2

Mansfield are unbeaten in all competitions this season and have won their last two outings 4-1. That impressive win at Notts County took them from promising hopefuls into genuine title contenders, and now they return to home soil to face Walsall.

With Aden Flint and co, this Stags squad is strong for the level, while Walsall are a relatively stable mid-table outfit. They’ve drawn their last two, but you would expect them to struggle here with the step up in opposition.

Salford City to beat Barrow @ 13/5

We’ve gone for two big-priced away wins next. First up are a Salford City side who are beginning to find their form. They only lost in the play-offs on penalties last season and, after a good summer, were expected to challenge for the automatic spots this term. They had a bit of a slow start to the new season, but over the last six games have certainly improved.

They’ve only lost once in the league in that time, to Wrexham, and enjoyed impressive wins over the likes of Donccaster and Crewe. As a result, their position of 13th in the current table feels as low as they will be this season, which means they offer good value heading into the next game. Barrow are in the top half and have an impressive manager in the form of Pete Wild, but they have only beaten lowly Forest Green Rovers in the month of October.

On paper, this is a well-matched tussle, but Salford are in better form and in my eyes, have the better squad. That means the 13/5 on offer is incredibly generous for the Ammies to take all three points on Saturday afternoon.

Crewe Alexandra to beat Harrogate @ 13/10

An away trip lies in wait for Crewe Alex and I’m surprised they are not a shorter price than the 13/10 on offer. No side, not even the brilliant trio of Stockport, Notts County or Wrexham, have scored more goals in the league than the Railwaymen this term and as a result, they are right up in promotion contention.

They have been beaten by Stockport and Salford in recent weeks, but I still believe they will be play-off contenders this term. If they want to be in consideration for a top-seven finish, they will have to go to Harrogate and win. Harrogate are down in 17th, but that is a positive spot to be in for a club of their size. They’ve also lost their last three home matches and seem to be far better set up to play away from home. All this leads me to believe that Alex will have a field day at Wetherby Road, and the goals will flow once again.
