Team News
Cambridge have received disappointing news in recent days as striker Kylian Kouassi has suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury he picked up in November. The Blackpool loanee could now miss the rest of the season.
The U's have been boosted by the return of veteran defender Michael Morrison to training after two injury issues since November.
Boss Neil Harris told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "He's a brilliant pro and a great guy, he understands where he's at and he's getting a bit closer to being ready for action, he's a little bit more desperate to be involved.
"At the moment, we're just delighted to have Michael back and in the training group with the experience and composure that he brings.
"To have the qualities of Michael Morrison, ready to step in if needs be, is really powerful for me."
Joel McGregor is the latest Swindon player to be hit by a hamstring problem and he is going to miss out on Thursday's crunch clash.
Cambridge vs Swindon Predicted Lineups
- Cambridge: Eastwood; Gibbons, Jobe, Watts; Bennett, Ball, Mpanzu, Brophy; Knight, Kaikai; Appere
- Swindon: Ripley; Wright, Knight-Lebel, Tafazolli, Batty; Oldaker, Bodin, Borland, Kilkenny, Holman; Drinan
No club has won more home games than Cambridge in the league this term, so it's not surprising to see them labelled the 8/11 favourites for Thursday.
Both sides have drawn three of their past six fixtures in the fourth tier, and the stalemate here can be backed at 13/5 (implied probability of 27.8%).
Swindon are 4/1 to collect the three points and make it three successive away victories on the spin.
Under 2.5 goals has landed in each of both teams' previous three matches in League 2. It is marketed at 10/11 on this occasion.
Cambridge vs Swindon Stats
- Cambridge have lost just 1 home game in L2 this season (W13 D5)
- Swindon have suffered 1 defeat from their previous 6 away trips in the league (W4 D1)
- 7 of Swindon's past 9 league outings have seen both teams score
Match Result - Draw @ 13/5
Given their strength at home, Cambridge are expected to win this contest. However, Swindon head here with credentials of their own, having won successive away trips at Gillingham and Tranmere Rovers. Ian Holloway's men didn't concede a goal across those two games, either.
This has the makings to be a spectacle given how close the teams are in the table, and this being the business end of the season. Cambridge and Swindon both have plenty of qualities, so I think they will end up cancelling each other out on Thursday.
They have both experienced three draws across their past six outings in the league, so the stalemate is a very attractive price at 13/5.

Both Teams To Score - Yes @ 10/11
BTTS - Yes has not had much joy at the Abbey this term, with Cambridge conceding just 12 goals in 19 fixtures in the fourth tier. However, they are up against another top side in Swindon, who are a lot more familiar with this market in 2025/26.
The Robins have seen this selection land in seven of their previous nine games in League 2, including three of their last five road trips. Additionally, this was a successful bet when the teams met in August's reverse fixture, which Swindon won 3-2.
