Team News
Peterborough are still without long-term absentee Sam Hughes due to an Achilles issue. Tom Lees will need to be assessed after a recent setback with his knee.
With a 5-0 victory in the last league game against AFC Wimbledon, boss Luke Williams may decide to field the same XI. Harry Leonard and Gustav Lindgren both netted braces in that contest, and the latter may be considered for a place in the team on Thursday.
Stockport forward Kyle Wootton has six goals in the league this term, just one behind joint-top scorers Mason Burstow (Bolton Wanderers), Lorent Tolaj (Plymouth Argyle) and Davis Keillor-Dunn (Barnsley). He is yet to score against Posh in the league, though, and he will hope to change that on Thursday night.
Wootton may be joined in attack by fellow forward Nathan Lowe, who himself has three goals in League 1 in 2025/26.
Owen Dodgson is available after serving a one-game suspension and he is expected to come back in the side for this contest.

Peterborough vs Stockport Odds
Peterborough have won three of their last four home games in all competitions and they are 21/10 to defeat the league leaders.
Two of Stockport's seven away games in the third tier have ended in a stalemate and the draw on Thursday is priced at 9/4.
The Hatters are 11/10 (implied probability of 47.6%) to collect the three points, having won four times on the road in the league.
BTTS - Yes has landed in 71% (5/7) of Stockport's away fixtures in League 1 this term and it is available at 4/6 on this occasion.
Peterborough vs Stockport Stats
- Stockport have won four of their seven away games in League 1
- BTTS - Yes has struck in five of Stockport's away fixtures in the league
Match Result - Stockport @ 11/10
Stockport have the best away record in the division so they should be feeling very confident as they head to Weston Homes Stadium on Thursday. Peterborough's poor form from last season has carried on into this campaign and this led to the club once again parting ways with Darren Ferguson.
Former Swansea City and Notts County boss Williams is the new man at the helm, and he has had a bright start to his tenure, winning all of his first three competitive fixtures.
This is something the Hatters will need to be wary of when they make the trip on Thursday, as Posh don't appear as easy to beat as they were a few weeks ago.
That being said, Dave Challinor has a lot of quality at his disposal and Williams is yet to face a test quite like this yet, and I believe the league leaders can demonstrate their attacking might.
Stockport have won four of their seven away trips in the league, while they head into this clash with four wins in their previous five fixtures in the third tier, so I think they will, for at least a short while, extend their gap at the summit.

Both Teams To Score - Yes @ 4/6
I do think Peterborough have a role to play in this match, however. They are the home side and life under Williams has started brightly. They may be facing the league leaders but they themselves should have a degree in confidence after three consecutive wins in all competitions.
BTTS - Yes particularly appeals here because it has been a common trend for Stockport on their travels this season. Five of their seven away games have seen both teams get on the scoresheet and they are facing a side who struck five times in their latest home league fixture.
I'm confident we will see an away victory but I sense Posh will make them work for it, and they can get a consolation goal at the very least.
