Mansfield are hoping to extend their unbeaten League 1 run to five games when they host 22nd-placed Plymouth on Tuesday.

The visitors, in contrast, approach the trip to the One Call Stadium in poor form, having lost their last two, and there could be more disappointment on the cards for Tom Cleverley and his side against the Stags. Below are my Mansfield vs Plymouth predictions, supported by the latest team news and match odds.

Mansfield vs Plymouth Betting Tips

  • Mansfield to win @ 13/10
  • Over 2.5 goals @ 4/5

Team News

Luke Bolton and Baily Cargill are still out for Mansfield, who are also sweating on the fitness of Louis Reed for Tuesday's game.

Joe Gardner could come into the side up front in place of Rhys Oates for the Stags.

Football Odds

Plymouth have plenty of injury issues heading into the game with Xavier Amaechi, Jack MacKenzie, Matthew Sorinola, Julio Pleguezuelo and Caleb Watts all still ruled out, while Bradley Ibrahim will be given a late fitness test.

Today's Football Fixtures

Mansfield vs Plymouth Odds

Mansfield are 13/10 to win, the draw is 12/5 and a victory for Argyle is priced at 21/10.

Mansfield vs Plymouth Stats

  • The Stags have only lost once at home in the third tier
  • Plymouth sit 22nd in League 1
  • Argyle have lost their last two games

Mansfield to win @ 13/10

Mansfield appear to represent good value at 13/10 to win as the hosts are in better form, have fewer injuries and should have much more confidence than the struggling Pilgrims.

The Stags have only lost once at home in the third tier this season, winning three times, and in recent weeks Nigel Clough’s men have beaten Luton and Rotherham, while at the weekend picked up a solid 1-1 draw against Wigan.

Argyle, meanwhile, have lost successive games to Wimbledon and Exeter - the most recent being a demoralising derby defeat when they went down to 2-0.

The visitors do at least have the benefit of having had a bit more time than Town to prepare for this clash and Plymouth have a fantastic recent record against the Stags - winning the last six meetings..

However, all that may count for little on Tuesday and a home win is expected.

Over 2.5 goals @ 4/5

Both teams scoring looks likely at the One Call Stadium. BTTS has paid out in four of the Stags' last five games, while there have also been goals at both ends in three of Plymouth's last five matches.

Furthermore, there have been over 2.5 goals in four of Argyle's last seven away games, with the struggling Pilgrims being involved in some high-scoring contests already this season, including when they hammered Tottenham’s U21s 6-2 in the EFL Trophy and their 4-0 league win over Burton Albion.
