Treble pays 12/1

Bolton Wanderers to beat Burton Albion

It may seem like a slightly strange pick given Bolton were humiliated by Wigan, losing 4-0 at home last time out. But the signs we have seen this season, that game aside, all point to the fact that Ian Evatt’s side will be in the top two this season.

That defeat has actually given us slightly better value on them to beat Burton Albion than we would normally expect. Burton have been in dire form this term and currently sit bottom of the table, having only scored one goal so far this term. Dino Maamria has work to do to rescue this side again, but they should be outclassed by one of the better teams in the division, who now have a point to prove.

Wigan Athletic to beat Barnsley

Wigan looked like they may be in trouble having been handed an eight point deduction, but over the first four games, they’ve proven themselves to be one of, if not the, best team in the entire division. Wigan have beaten both pre-season favourites, Derby County and Bolton, away from home and Shaun Maloney has got them off to a flyer.

The 4-0 away win over Bolton was a huge statement, and they will be looking to follow it up with another three points against Barnsley. The Tykes are still finding their way so far this term after a summer of turmoil. Their last two home games have ended in 3-1 defeats, and Wigan can take full advantage of a side lacking confidence.

Cambridge United to beat Leyton Orient

Cambridge have recorded three 2-0 wins already so far this season, including in both of their away matches. Now they travel to Leyton Orient top of the table, as Mark Bonner defies the odds once again.

Leyton Orient have not enjoyed a good start to the new campaign. They have been heavily beaten by Portsmouth, and lost to Charlton as well as Wycombe as Richie Wellens struggled to get his side going in August. The form guide suggest Cambridge should have the better of the O’s this weekend and the 9/5 on offer for them to win looks sizeable in comparison to some of the other prices about.
