League One returns this weekend with a full fixture list, and to celebrate we have put together an accumulator that may tickle your fancy. Here’s what we’ve come up with.

League 1 Accumulator Tips:

  • Bolton Wanderers to beat Leyton Orient @ 3/5
  • Portsmouth to beat Fleetwood Town @ 2/5
  • Peterborough to beat Shrewsbury @ 3/5
  • Oxford to beat Northampton @ 5/4

Fourfold pays 8/1

Bolton Wanderers to beat Leyton Orient @ 3/5

Bolton are in the slightly unusual position of being out of form at this moment in time. They’ve lost their last two league matches and failed to win their last three as they struggle to find wins in December. However, they return to home soil to take on Leyton Orient, and I believe they will set the record straight here.

Bolton are still in my eyes one of the top two teams in this league, even though the table doesn’t reflect that right now. They host a distinctly average Leyton Orient side who are mid-table, and will surely finish there this season. Bolton should return to winning ways.

Portsmouth to beat Fleetwood Town @ 2/5

League leaders Portsmouth are unstoppable right now in the league. John Mousinho’s men have only lost once all season, and although they were well-beaten by AFC Wimbledon in the EFL Trophy in midweek, they should be able to bounce back here.

They’ve won their last four league games on the bounce without conceding a single goal, while Fleetwood have lost their last six in all competitions without scoring. All signs point towards a comfortable home win.

Peterborough to beat Shrewsbury @ 3/5

Posh have steadily risen up the table this term and now sit second after a run of five league matches without defeat. They are the top scorers in the division having bagged 41 goals, and their attacking threat comes from all over the park.

Meanwhile, Shrewsbury are another mediocre mid-table outfit in League One who can compete against the bottom half teams, but will find life tough against the quality that Posh possess. The home side were beaten 3-0 by Pompey last time out, and I can see a similar result here.

Oxford to beat Northampton @ 5/4

Northampton have been in decent form as of late, but I just like the look of Oxford this season. There’s something about Des Buckingham’s side that I feel will lead to both short-term and long-term success and their playing style should match up well against the Cobblers. They’ve won six from 11 on the road so far this term, and I’m backing the U’s to make it seven on Saturday.
