Atletico Madrid will hope to extend their unbeaten run to 10 matches when they travel to Gran Canaria to take on Las Palmas on Friday evening in La Liga.

Diego Simeone's side are only three points behind league leaders Real Madrid, and they have one game in hand over Carlo Ancelotti's men.

After a slow start, Las Palmas have started to find their rhythm, and they have won four of their last five games in all competitions to ease the pressure on coach Garcia Pimienta.

Las Palmas vs Atletico Madrid Prediction

  • Atletico Madrid to win and Over 2.5 goals @ 13/8
  • Antoine Griezmann to score anytime @ 7/5

Team News

Pimienta will once again be unable to call upon the services of Sandro Ramirez and Fabio Gonzalez due to injury, while Jonathan Vieira is doubtful due to a personal issue.

Marc Cardona, Saul Coco, Alvaro Valles and Marvin Park were rested for the 3-0 win in the Copa del Rey against Manacor, but they are all expected to return to the starting XI.

Simeone is still without Reinildo Mandava, Vitolo, Thomas Lemar, Memphis Depay and Samuel Lino due to injury, but he still has plenty of options available as his side tries to move level with neighbours Real Madrid.

Match Odds

Despite having home advantage, Las Palmas are as big as 9/2 to pick up all three points.

Pimienta's side lost in their last league game at home, with Rayo Vallecano running out 1-0 winners. The draw is 11/4, while Atletico are 8/13 to win on their travels.

Those expecting a high-scoring game can back Over 2.5 goals at 10/11, while both teams to score is available at the same price.

Atletico striker Alvaro Morata is the favourite to score anytime, with a price of 5/4 available for the Spaniard to find the back of the net.

Atletico Madrid to win and Over 2.5 goals @ 13/8

Simeone's teams would normally be involved in low-scoring games, but it is hard to overlook their recent form and that of Las Palmas.

Four of Los Amarillos' last five matches have contained over 2.5 goals, while Atletico's previous two games on the road have also included at least three.

Las Palmas will be full of confidence, and while they will likely fall short over 90 minutes, that is not to say they cannot find the back of the net.

Antoine Griezmann to score anytime @ 7/5

Atletico striker Griezmann sits second in the goal-scoring charts this season, having netted seven goals in 10 appearances.

The Frenchman has also scored four goals in his last three appearances for the Spanish giants, and he continues to operate in a free role, which makes marking him difficult.

Las Palmas also have to worry about Morata, so Griezmann should get his fair share of opportunities to score.
