Levante vs Getafe Preview:

Monday night football in Spain this week comes from the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia, where Levante are in real need of a victory as they bid to stage a great escape. It won't come easily against a Getafe side that has impressed since the turn of the year.

Levante have spent virtually the entire season in the bottom three following promotion as Segunda División champions last term. It only took until November for Julián Calero, the man who guided them to that triumph, to be sacked. After a spell under caretaker management, Luís Castro took over at the start of 2026.

A return of 16 points from 14 games so far under Castro does represent an improvement. However, it hasn't been a significant enough boost to lift the Granotes out of the relegation zone. They may need to win half of their remaining fixtures to stay afloat, with this match, and subsequent home games against Sevilla, Osasuna and Mallorca likely to be key.

The Valencia club have taken seven points from their last three outings in front of their own fans. They saw off fellow strugglers Real Oviedo 4-2 last time out at home, but barely threatened in a 2-0 defeat away to Real Sociedad in their most recent fixture.

One bright light for Castro in recent weeks has been the form of striker Carlos Espí. He didn't make his first start of the campaign until February, but a return of six goals in his last five games makes the 20-year-old one of the most dangerous forwards in Spain right now.

Getafe have also looked much more lively in that department since January, when they did what has turned out to be some excellent business. Strikers Luis Vázquez and Martín Satriano both arrived on loan deals, and almost overnight their attacking threat increased, with the duo forming an effective partnership up top.

Satriano has been particularly impressive, scoring four times, including a spectacular winner in a shock 1-0 victory at the Santiago Bernabéu last month. He also registered a goal and an assist as Los Azulones saw off Athletic Club 2-0 at home last time out.

With six wins in their last eight games, Getafe have gone from relegation candidates to genuine European hopefuls. They are still the second lowest scorers in the division, having looked devoid of a goal threat for much of the campaign, yet even Champions League qualification is not entirely out of the question, with Spain well-placed to secure an additional place.

That would mark an extraordinary turnaround for José Bordalás and his team, although European football of any form would still be a great achievement. Three of those recent six victories have come on the road, so they'll be full of confidence heading into this Monday night fixture.

Team News:

Both coaches are serving touchline bans, so Castro and Bordalás will need to get messages down to their respective benches if they want to change things.

Levante's injury problems have eased since the international break, but they're still missing winger Roger Brugué to a long-term issue. Centre-back Unai Elgezabal is also unlikely to feature, although he is nearing fitness following a knee injury.

As for Getafe, they'll need to cope without the suspended Mauro Arambarri. That is a really significant blow given the Uruguayan has top scored for them with six league goals from midfield. Forwards Juanmi Jiménez and Borja Mayoral are also sidelined due to injuries, although there's little prospect of either displacing the current strikers right now.

Levante vs Getafe Predicted Lineups

  • Levante: Ryan, Toljan, Matturro, De la Fuente, Sanchez, Martinez, Rey, Garcia, Romero, Tunde, Espi
  • Getafe: Soria, Abqar, Duarte, Romero, Femenia, Milla, Dakonam, Iglesias, Liso, Satriano, Vazquez

Match Odds:

There's little to choose between the teams in the Match Result market, with Levante priced at 13/8 and Getafe at 15/8. The Draw is on offer at 2/1, and that was the outcome when the clubs met at the Coliseum back in September.

If you fancy Levante to boost their survival prospects with a big performance, they're priced at 13/5 to win the game to nil. You can also back Castro's men to net over 1.5 goals at 9/4, while Both teams to score is priced at 6/5.

Getafe are given a 1/1 chance of winning either half, while you can back the organised visitors to keep a clean sheet at 8/5. Odds of 9/4 for a headed goal to be scored also look given the height both teams possess in attack.

In-form Espí will surely offer the main threat for the hosts. He's on offer at 5/1 to score first, while he's given a 21/10 chance of scoring anytime.

From a visiting perspective, Vázquez is priced at 5/2 to score anytime, while you can back Satriano to bag a goal at 23/10.

Levante vs Getafe Stats

  • Levante's keeper has made the second-most saves in La Liga (113) but they still have conceded the most goals per 90 minutes (1.67).
  • Getafe have the fewest shots on target per 90 minutes in the league at just 3.00.
  • Levante's starters have just completed 177 matches, which is the fewest in the division.
  • Both teams are joint-top of the own goals league with two each.

Bet 1 - Under 2.5 goals & Draw or Getafe @ 11/10 via Bet Builder

Overall, Getafe are much the more convincing of these two teams. While they'll miss Arambarri in midfield, Bordalás will back his three centre-backs to do a decent job of handling the threat of Espí. With only 1.03 goals conceded per 90 minutes, Los Azulones have the best defensive record outside of the top four.

It's just three home wins all season for Levante and it's tough to see them surviving from this position, especially after several weekend results went against them. They're yet to win in front of their own fans or on their road against a side currently ranked in the top half.

With the away team's league matches averaging just 1.93 goals per 90 minutes, I'm using the Bet Builder to back Under 2.5 goals and Draw or Getafe at 11/10.

Bet 2 - Getafe to win over 4.5 corners @ 1/1

While their threat from open play is often limited, a big part of Getafe's attacking strategy is to win set-pieces and rely on the excellent deliveries of Luis Milla, who has assisted a joint-high nine times in La Liga this term. Only Lamine Yamal can match that figure.

Los Azulones are averaging 4.67 corners per 90 minutes on the road. They won nine at Espanyol in their last away game, and it's worth noting that this is their first road fixture against one of the promoted clubs, who are all deep in relegation trouble.

Given that, they look to offer value to win over 4.5 corners in this match at odds of 1/1.
