Atletico Madrid vs Mallorca Prediction: Away side no pushovers

Atletico Madrid will hope to make it back-to-back La Liga wins on Sunday when they welcome Mallorca to the Riyadh Air Metropolitano (13:00 GMT).
Diego Simeone’s side are currently level on points with Villarreal in third, and won’t want to slip up against a Mallorca outfiton the fringes of a relegation battle. Below you can find my Atletico Madrid vs Mallorca predictions.

Team News
Simeone has a fairly clean bill of health right now, with only Clement Lenglet missing with an injury. Nahuel Molina missed the trip to Galatasaray due to personal reasons but other than that, Atleti are at full tilt.
Nico Gonzalez is fit and should be named on the bench, while Julian Alvaraz and Alexander Sorloth should continue to lead the line as the front two, despite the Argentines lack of goals recently.
Mallorca are going to give late fitness tests to Manu Morlanes, Marash Kumbulla and Toni Lato. Vedat Muriqi will lead the line and hope to continue his fine form, while Sergi Darder will hope to provide a decent supply line for the 31-year-old forward.
Atletico Madrid vs Mallorca Predicted Lineups

Atletico Madrid vs Mallorca Odds
Atletico Madrid are priced at 2/7 to win this game, making them the massive favourites and giving them an implied win probability of 77%. Mallorca are 10/1 for the win, while a draw can be backed at 4/1.
Sortloth and Alvarez are both 4/1 to open the scoring in this fixture, while there are a couple of Price Boosts which may be of interest, that you can find on the link above.
Atletico Madrid vs Mallorca Stats
- Mallorca haven't lost by more than one goal in any of their last 11 outings
- They've lost three of their last 11, all by a scoreline of 2-1
- Vedat Muriqi has 14 goals in 19 La Liga games
Real Mallorca +2 handicap @ 9/10
Now Atleti are the obvious favourites for this one and while on balance any sensible head would lean towards the home side, I don’t think it is where the value is at. Mallorca score a far number of goals and are competitive in most matches that they play.
In fact, the last time they lost by more than one goal, which they would need to do for this selection to lose, was on November 2 away to Real Betis (3-0). Since then, they’ve played 11 games and in those 11, they’ve lost just 3 - all by a scoreline of 2-1.
Given Atleti have only scored one goal in each of their last five games, I think the play is to back the away side with a +2 handicap. That essentially means they start with a two-goal headstart, and if they win the game from that point, the bet is settled as a winner. For example, a 1-0 Atleti win would still work in our favour.

Vedat Muriqi to score anytime @ 12/5
Kylian Mbappe leads the La Liga Golden Boot race with 19 goals in 19 matches, but the man in second doesn’t play for Barcelona, Villarreal or Atletico Madrid. No, in fact, what we are seeing from Mallorca’s front man Muriqi is the season of his life - and he’s now scored 14 goals in 19 La Liga outings this season.
That’s five more than Robert Lewandowski has got for Barcelona! Now we know that Atleti have the joint-best defensive record in the league having conceded only 17 - but I still think the in-form front man is worth backing, at a far bigger price than we would normally see.
