Group F of the Asian Cup remains wide open, with all three teams below Saudi Arabia capable of joining the Green Falcons in the knockout stages.

Thailand are in pole position on four points but both Kyrgyzstan and Oman could go through despite registering just a point between them thus far. They face off in the final game of what has been an intriguing group stage.

Here we pick out the best bets for this Asian Cup game.

Kyrgyzstan vs Oman Prediction

  • Under 1.5 goals @ 7/4
  • Muhsen Al-Ghassani to score first @ 5/1

Team News

Kyrgyzstan’s Ayzar Akmatov and Kimi Merk were both sent off against Saudi Arabia and will miss this match through suspension.

Amantur Shamurzaev made his international debut from the bench last time out and could feature again here.

Oman’s Tamim Al-Balushi has torn a cruciate ligament injury and will miss out here. Manager Branko Ivankovic opted for the same team in both of his side’s first two games and may field a similar line-up again here.

Match Odds

Oman can be backed at 1/2 for the victory, while Kyrgyzstan are 11/2 outsiders and the draw is available at 13/5.

Under 1.5 goals@ 7/4

Kyrgyzstan have failed to make an impression at this year’s Asian Cup, losing 2-0 in their first two games against Thailand and Saudi Arabia respectively.

They can still progress to the knockout stages but need to win by at least four goals, a feat that looks unlikely.

In fact, there may not be many goals at all in this clash.

Oman simply need to win to progress and they are not known for their free-scoring nature so a goal could be all that decides this clash.

Three of Oman’s last five games have gone under 1.5 goals and they could find the net first and then simply defend that lead to progress to the knockout stages.

With Kyrgyzstan unlikely to pose much of a threat going forward, take a goal or fewer to be scored in this matchup.

Under 1.5 goals at 7-4

Muhsen Al-Ghassani to score first @ 5/1

Goals have been in short supply for Oman recently, they have only scored once in their last four matches, but they should be able to find the net against a Kyrgyzstan outfit that have conceded four in two matches.

Muhsen Al-Ghassani is the Demons’ primary goal threat and could well open the scoring in this game.

He has nine goals in 45 appearances for his nation and in a game that is likely to be low-scoring, he could net the first.

Muhsen Al-Ghassani to score first at 5-1
