Kobenhavn welcome Basel to Parken for the second leg of their Uefa Champions League qualifying play-off on Tuesday (20:00 BST, TNT Sports 3). The two teams couldn't be separated last Wednesday in Switzerland as they played out a 1-1 draw.

Below you will find my Kobenhavn vs Basel predictions, alongside the latest team news and match odds.

Kobenhavn vs Basel Betting Tips

  • Kobenhavn to win (in 90 mins) @ 8/11

Team News

Kobenhavn remain without the services of wide man Elias Achour (hamstring) and midfielder Thomas Delaney (unknown), with both players ruled out until next month due to their respective injuries.

Defender Gabriel Pereira is in great form in front of goal, having found the net in his last two competitive games, including the first leg last Wednesday.

Boss Jacob Neestrup may consider restoring forward Andreas Cornelius to the starting lineup in place of Youssoufa Moukoto, who started the first leg for the Danish side.

Kobenhavn vs Basel Stats

  • Kobenhavn have won their last two home games in the Champions League
  • Both teams to score has struck in Basel's past six fixtures in all competitions

Basel come into Tuesday’s contest without defenders Finn van Breemen and Kevin Ruegg, owing to meniscus and muscle problems respectively.

Jonas Adjetey is unavailable for the visitors following his straight red card in the first leg. They are also having to cope without star attacker Kevin Carlos who has transferred to Nice.

Albian Ajeti is set to lead the line in Copenhagen for the Swiss giants. Philip Otele and captain Xherdan Shaqiri are likely to join him in the final third.

Kobenhavn vs Basel Odds

Kobenhavn are 8/11 (implied probability of 57.9%) to win this game in regulation time, and the hosts have won their past two home fixtures in the Champions League.

The first leg ended in a stalemate and the draw is marketed at 5/2 this time around.

Basel have won three of their previous five matches in all competitions and they are 16/5 to win this clash inside 90 minutes.

There have been goals at both ends in each of the visitors' last six contests and BTTS is available at 4/6 on Wednesday.

Kobenhavn to win (in 90 mins) @ 8/11

The first leg was a tight affair but I think the draw suited Kobenhavn as they have the home leg to come. They have momentum in this competition from navigating their way through the previous two qualifying rounds.

On both occasions they played at Parken, they came out on top - and I can see this trend continuing against Basel. The visitors face a tough trip to Copenhagen and it isn't helped by their injuries and the suspension picked up by Adjetey last week.

Kobenhavn have the advantage heading into the second leg and I think they will take full advantage.

Basel have also failed to keep a clean sheet in any game this season and I think this will lead to their undoing in this play-off tie and lead them to dropping into the Uefa Europa League.

Both teams to score @ 4/6

Basel have shown that they have no issues scoring, but their biggest problem is they also can't stop conceding goals. As I mentioned above, each of their last six games across all competitions have produced goals from both teams, including the first leg in Switzerland last Wednesday - so I think this trend will continue on Tuesday night.

For the hosts, three of their previous four competitive games have featured BTTS, so all evidence seems to be pointing to another competitive contest between these two teams.
