Juventus made light work of Al Ain in their 2025 Fifa Club World Cup opener, thrashing the UAE outfit 5-0 in Washington on Thursday. Next up for the Old Lady in Group G are Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca, who lost 2-0 to Manchester City on Wednesday. The two teams meet on Sunday (17:00 BST, Channel 5/DAZN), with the contest taking place at Lincoln Financial Field.

Below are my Juventus vs Wydad Casablanca predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds, ahead of this game in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Juventus vs Wydad Casablanca Betting Tips

  • Player to Have 1 or More Shots - Mohamed Moufid (WAC) @ 3/1
  • Player to Receive a Card - Alberto Costa (JUV) @ 7/2

Team News

Juventus' front three all got on the scoresheet against Al Ain, with Randal Kolo Muani and Francisco 'Chico' Conceicao each bagging a brace, and Kenan Yildiz netting once.

It remains to be seen if the trio all start on Sunday, though, with rotation possible against another side that the Italian giants are expected to comfortably beat.

Football Odds

Dusan Vlahovic and Nicolas Gonzalez will both be hoping for inclusions in the forward line against Wydad, while further back, there could be opportunities for the likes of Teun Koopmeiners, Manuel Locatelli, Timothy Weah and Douglas Luiz.

Igor Tudor saw four of his players - Conceicao, Weston McKennie, Andrea Cambiaso and Federico Gatti - pick up a yellow card against Al Ain, and the quartet are now at risk of a one-game ban, with two bookings before the semi-finals triggering a suspension.

Juventus vs Wydad Casablanca Stats

  • Mohamed Moufid (WAC) recorded one shot against Man City
  • Alberto Costa (JUV) committed four fouls against Al Ain
  • The Portuguese wing-back has been booked in three of his last six games

Rotation certainly won't be on the mind of Wydad's head coach, Amine Benhachem, whose side's qualification hopes are already hanging in the balance.

As a result, we can expect the likes of Nordin Amrabat, Thembinkosi Lorch and Mehdi Moubarik to keep their starting spots from the midweek defeat to Man City.

Benhachem made a change at half-time against Pep Guardiola's star-studded side, removing South African striker Cassius Mailula from the action, but that may have been to avoid the 24-year-old picking up a second yellow card.

Mohamed Rayhi, who replaced the Toronto FC loanee at the start of the second half on Wednesday, will start if Mailula is demoted to the bench this weekend.

Juventus vs Wydad Casablanca Odds

Juventus are 1/3 to chalk up back-to-back wins, implying a 75% probability of success, while Wydad are 17/2, or a 10.5% chance, to shock Tudor's team.

The draw is priced at 4/1, both teams to score at 5/4, and over 2.5 total goals at 4/5.

Vlahovic (23/20) and Kolo Muani (5/4) lead the way in the anytime goalscorer market, with Rayhi (18/5) first up for the Moroccans.

Player to Have 1 or More Shots - Mohamed Moufid (WAC) @ 3/1

I like the look of this price for Wydad's Mohamed Moufid, who missed the target against Man City with a long-range effort in the 47th minute.

The 25-year-old averaged 0.6 shots per game in the Botola Pro 1, Moroccan football's top tier, last season, and was averaging 0.8 shots per game this term.

Meanwhile, in the 2022/23 CAF Confederations Cup, he was averaging 0.6 shots per game.

Today's Football Fixtures

The Moroccan usually features at right-back for Wydad, but against Man City, he was deployed as a left wing-back, and that could be favourable for the above selection, as he can cut in on his favoured right foot and aim for goal.

He tried his luck from far back on Wednesday, and with Wydad likely to be even more desperate for a goal this weekend, there's a good chance Moufid unleashes another effort.

The Rabat-born defender played the full game against Man City, and staying on the pitch for the full 90 on Sunday would certainly aid our chances of landing the above selection.

Player to Receive a Card - Alberto Costa (JUV) @ 7/2

Alberto Costa is a player who's been on my radar for a little while now, with his card and foul numbers starting to stack up.

The 21-year-old joined Juventus midway through the season from Portuguese side Guimaraes, for whom he was booked three times in eight Uefa Conference League appearances.

Costa only made his first start for the Old Lady on May 10, but by that point, he had already been booked twice, receiving back-to-back cautions as a substitute against Monza and Bologna.

He received his third booking of the campaign on the final day of the season, in just the 20th minute, before being hooked at half-time.

Costa was one of the stars of the show on Thursday as Juve dismantled Al Ain, setting up the first two goals of the game for Kolo Muani and Conceicao, but he also committed four fouls.

Despite his indiscretions and Juve being shown four yellows, the Portuguese defender managed to evade the referee's notebook, but his actions will surely have been noted by fellow whistleblowers, who may not be as lenient in upcoming matches.

On Sunday, Costa could come up against Moufid and Lorch down Juve's right-hand side, with both players winning a free-kick each against Man City. Their normal numbers don't jump off the page, so this selection has less to do with the opponent and more to do with the aggressor, Costa, who has made seven fouls across his last two appearances (three v Venezia on May 25).
