Juventus vs Verona Prediction: Old Lady to keep title bid alive

February was not a good month for Juventus as they suffered two cup exits and head coach Thiago Motta will be hoping the first outing of March at home to Verona on Monday (19:45 KO) brings about more positivity.
The Old Lady were dumped out of the Champions League and Coppa Italia last month, by PSV and Empoli respectively, leaving the Serie A title as their last chance of winning silverware this season. James Mason provides his best bets in his Juventus vs Verona prediction piece, as well as all the essential team news and match odds for this showdown.
Team News
Juventus have a raft of defensive injuries heading into this contest, with Nicolo Savona, Renato Veiga, Bremer, Juan Cabal and Pierre Kalulu all sidelined.
In midfield, Brazilian Douglas Luiz is unavailable due to a flexor injury.
Verona have struggled for goals this season and the absence of top scorer Casper Tengstedt for this clash won't help matters.
The visitors will also be without Suat Serdar, Martin Frese and Abdou Harroui.
Juventus are the heavy 3/10 favourites to pick up all three points on home soil, with the draw priced at 4/1 and Verona the big 10/1 outsiders.
Juventus to win to nil @ 10/11
It hasn't been the debut season Motta had hoped for after taking the reins at Juve in the summer but all hope is not lost yet, with his side nine points adrift of table-toppers Inter Milan and still in the title race.
The Old Lady can't afford any slip-ups in their pursuit of Scudetto glory and they should be able to comfortably overcome visitors Verona, who are just five points above the bottom three and still in a relegation battle.
Hellas failed to score in their last away outing, going down 1-0 at AC Milan, while they have also been blanked in trips to Napoli, Cagliari and Lecce this term.
Juve are unbeaten at home in the league, keeping seven clean sheets from those 13 fixtures, and they can keep out a Verona side that haven't scored at the Allianz Stadium since October 2020.

Diego Coppola to receive a card @ 2/1
Verona could be under the cosh for large periods of this contest and that could spell trouble for defender Diego Coppola, who has been booked 10 times in all competitions this season.
Six of those cautions came on the road and the 21-year-old Italian, who was shown a yellow two matches ago, could find his way into the referee's notepad once again.
