Juventus welcome Manchester City to the Allianz Stadium in the Uefa Champions League on Wednesday night (20:00, TNT Sports 2), with both sides sitting on eight points after their first five matches. Juve have drawn their last two against Aston Villa and Lille, while City threw away a three-goal lead at home to Feyenoord last time out, after getting thumped by Sporting CP in the previous fixture.

This match provides an opportunity for both teams to improve their claims of finishing in the automatic qualifying spots. Below you will find my Juventus vs Manchester City prediction, provided with the latest team news and match odds.

Juventus vs Manchester City Betting Tips

Juventus vs Manchester City Odds

Juventus are 11/4 to come away with the three points here, and they have won one of their two home ties in Europe so far. This gives them a theoretical chance of 26.7%. Manchester City are valued at 1/1 to take the victory, which they've managed once on the road already in this competition, giving them an implied probability of 50%.

The draw is available at 12/5 (29.4%), with Juve having experienced 10 of them already this season across all competitions.

Both teams to score has struck once at the Allianz in Europe this term, and it is 4/5 to land on Wednesday. Over 2.5 goals is on offer at 10/11, and this has been a winning selection in City's last four Champions League encounters.

Erling Haaland has netted five goals in this competition already for the Citizens, and he is 23/20 to score anytime against the Old Lady.

Team News

Dusan Vlahovic returned to action for Juve at the weekend in the 2-2 draw with Bologna, following three weeks out with a thigh problem. Nicolo Savona is also back in the picture after a spell on the sidelines.

Savona will be hoping for the chance to impress at full-back, potentially at the expense of former Man City man Danilo. Manuel Locatelli could be joined by Khephren Thuram in the middle of the park after the latter was limited to a cameo from the bench at the weekend.

Teun Koopmeiners, Timothy Weah and Francisco Conceicao looks set to remain as the trio of attackers operating behind Vlahovic, although Samuel Mbangula will be hoping to get the nod to start after salvaging a point against Bologna in added time last time out. Kenan Yildiz is another attacker who will be eager for some minutes in this crunch clash.

Boss Thiago Motta still has a few injuries to contend with ahead of this match. Douglas Luiz, a one-time City man, Weston McKennie, Nico Gonzalez, Bremer and Juan Cabal are all out of action, while Andrea Cambiaso is another doubt to feature against the Premier League champions.

For City, Nathan Ake and Manuel Akanji are both out after picking up injuries against Nottingham Forest. This was a huge blow for Ake as he had only just returned from a problem that had kept him out for two months.

John Stones and Mateo Kovacic are also in the medical bay for Pep Guardiola's side, while Rodri remains their long-term absentee. Oscar Bobb is still recovering from a leg fracture and is not expected back until the new year.

Young Rico Lewis could be in line to start here despite the fact that he will be serving a Premier League suspension at the weekend against Manchester United. He could be deployed at left-back again, leaving Josko Gvardiol to partner Ruben Dias in the middle.

Midfielder Matheus Nunes could keep his place in the side, having provided three assists in two of his last three appearances in the Champions League. He could line up on the left again where he has tended to play in recent weeks.

Draw @ 12/5

Draws have been quite frequent for Juve this term and they are currently on a run of five consecutive games across all competitions. Motta and his players must be sick of them but at least it isn't a losing streak.

Juve have shown to be a tough side to break down this season as Motta is in the first phase of getting his ideas across. But while they have looked solid at the back, there is work to be done offensively which would help them win more games.

The return of Vlahovic should help with that and the team scoring two goals at the weekend will have given them a bit of a lift. Injuries to other attacking players such as Gonzalez isn't helping but Motta still has players who are able to have an impact.

The draws will be frustrating but Juve are yet to be beaten in Serie A which is impressive, while their only defeat this season came at home to VfB Stuttgart in this competition.

This shows how tough they are to beat and they will fancy themselves to pick up another result against a City side that are still seeming to blow hot and cold. They weren't impressive in their draw with Crystal Palace at the weekend, so they will look to show an improvement here.

Both teams have players who can make a difference in the final third, but with Juve's attacking quality not quite at the level desired just yet, while their defensive work seems to be delivering more often than not, I think it is fair to assume their drawing streak can continue on Wednesday.

Under 2.5 goals @ 4/5

Goals have been frequent for City in Europe in their last four matches but I think they will become the latest side to be frustrated by Juve's compact shape and organisation.

The Old Lady made life tough for Aston Villa at Villa Park in their last outing and they were fortunate to come away with the point after Morgan Rogers' late strike was chalked off by VAR.

We are at a point where you don't know what kind of City is going to turn up, if they play like they did against Palace or Liverpool, it's going to be difficult to see them scoring many goals.

As I've already touched on, Juventus are still a work in progress in the final third and I don't think we are about to see them rack up a load of goals against Guardiola's side, even if they are defensively vulnerable.

Under 2.5 goals has been a winning selection in six of the nine matches played at the Allianz across all competitions this season, so I do think we will see this trend continue on Wednesday.
