Juventus vs Frosinone Prediction: Capital clash on the horizon for Juve

Juventus welcome Frosinone to the Allianz Stadium on Thursday (KO, 20:00) for a Coppa Italia quarter-final tie, with a clash against either Roma or Lazio in the semi-final the prize for the winner.

The Old Lady dispatched of Salernitana with ease to reach this round, winning 6-1 in Turin last week, whilst the Canaries shocked many by thrashing Napoli 4-0 in the round of 16.

Juventus will be wary of that result and will have to be on their toes to avoid being another victim of a giant killing, but Massimiliano Allegri’s side have been in solid form and look likely to prevail from the tie and make the semi-finals.

Juventus vs Frosinone Betting Tips:

Team News

Moise Kean, Mattia De Sciglio and Adrien Rabiot are all out with injuries but Juventus will be boosted by the likely return of Federico Chiesa, Andrea Cambiaso and Manuel Locatelli.

Anthony Oyono, Riccardo Marchizza and Jaime Baez are all out for Frosinone but Pierluigi Frattali is available as his suspension is only relevant to Serie A.

Matias Soule, Kaio Jorge and Enzo Barrenechea are all on loan from Juventus but can feature for the Canaries regardless and will be looking to impress, as will new signing Kevin Bonifazi should he be given a chance by Eusebio Di Francesco.

Match Odds

Juventus are unsurprisingly favourites for this tie, with the Old Lady available at 1/3 and Frosinone 13/2. The draw at 90 minutes, which would result in extra-time, has been chalked up at 7/2.

Over 2.5 goals seems a likely outcome and is available at 4/6, with both teams to score also appealing at slightly more generous odds of 10/11.

Dusan Vlahovic is the favourite to open the scoring at 7/2, but Juventus have gone behind in their last two games so Frosinone top-scorer and Juve loanee Matias Soule makes some appeal to grab the first goal at big odds of 4/1.

Juventus to win and both teams to score @ 21/10

Frosinone have made it further in the Coppa Italia this season than ever before in their brief history since being reformed in 1990, but their fairytale run may be set to come to an end against 14-time winners Juventus.

The Old Lady are on a 15-match unbeaten run, beating AC Milan to nil and drawing with Inter Milan in that sequence, and should be too strong for their visitors just as they were when the two met at Stadio Benito Stirpe last month, when Juve recorded a 2-1 victory.

Frosinone are yet to win an away game in Serie A this term and look unlikely to replicate their shock 4-0 win in Naples, but they may at least give their fans something to cheer in Turin.

They have only failed to score in one of their last seven away matches, with that blank coming against Italian leaders Inter, and have netted in defeats against Lazio and Milan in that run, suggesting they may find the net against Juventus.

Allegri’s side have been far from watertight at the back, conceding to Serie A basement boys Salernitana in consecutive games in their latest outings, and could concede to Frosinone despite winning, just as they did in their meeting last month.

#PickYourPunt - Kenan Yildiz to score, Over 2.5 goals, Over 9.5 corners in the match @ 4-1

Our second selection uses our #PickYourPunt feature to combine three markets and create a 4/1 bet for your slip.

Kenan Yildiz is quickly establishing himself as a star at Juventus and the 18-year-old scored the opener against Frosinone in the last meeting between these sides. The young Turkish forward scored in Juve’s last Coppa Italia match and should be taken to find the net again.

Frosinone are far from strong at the back, conceding 15 in their last seven away matches, and Juventus - fresh off the back of netting eight times in their last two - could put a few past their visitors to bring up the goal tally, with the Canaries likely to add to that total as outlined in the first tip.

The last meeting between these sides saw a total of 16 corners, with eight apiece, and a similarly action-packed affair could unfold on Thursday.
