Hull City will entertain Stoke City in a Championship clash at the MKM Stadium on Friday afternoon (15:00), as the home side look to continue their play-off push.

The visitors, meanwhile, will be hoping to turn things around after suffering a 3-0 defeat at home to Norwich City last time out, although they are undefeated in their last two visits to East Yorkshire. Below is our Hull vs Stoke prediction, alongside all the latest team news and match odds for this Championship clash.

Hull vs Stoke Prediction

  • Hull City to win @ 9/10
  • Both teams to score @ 4/5

Team News

Fabio Carvalho looks set to retain his place up top for the hosts after getting on the scoresheet against Leicester City last time out, while Aaron Connelly returned to the bench against the Foxes after being sidelined through injury.

Anass Zaroury will get the nod out wide, however Liam Delap remains on the treatment table for the Tigers.

As for the visitors, they will be forced into at least one alteration with Wouter Berger serving the second of a two-match suspension for collecting his 10th yellow card.

Junior Tchamadeu remains absent for the Potters, as does Enda Stevens with a calf injury.

Match Odds

The hosts are 9/10, or a 52.6% chance to get back to winning ways in front of their own fans, while Stoke are 13/5, or a 27.8% chance to claim three points at the MKM Stadium.

The draw can be backed at 12/5, while over 2.5 goals is currently priced up at 10/11.

Hull City to win @ 9/10

Seventh-placed Hull have nine games to force their way back into play-off contention and they can take a step forward by defeating struggling Stoke on Friday afternoon.

The Tigers are unbeaten in seven and in much better form than the Potters, who have lost four of their last five away matches, and currently find themselves languishing in 19th place in the Championship standings.

While Hull have failed to win in any of their past four home outings, they should have too much for Steven Schumacher's side. The Tigers recorded an impressive 3-1 win away at Stoke in the reverse fixture, and they'll definitely draw inspiration from that win.

Both teams to score @ 4/5

The stats suggest that neither defence is watertight, so we could see goals at both ends.

Hull have failed to prevent opponents from scoring in five of their last six matches, conceding six goals during that time. It's a similar story for Stoke - their opponents have scored against them in five of the last six outings.

Both teams scored in the reverse fixture, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it land once again on Friday afternoon.
