Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel has already conceded the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen, who are 13 points ahead of the reigning champions with just seven games remaining, but there is still work to be done for the Bavarians as they look to avoid further embarrassment by dropping out of the top two.

Third-placed Stuttgart are just three points behind the Champions League quarter-finalists, whose next assignment in the league is a trip to Heidenheim, who have emerged as one of the division's success stories this season. Below you can find our Heidenheim vs Bayern Munich prediction for Saturday's match at the Voith-Arena, which kicks off at 14:30.

Heidenheim vs Bayern Munich Betting Tips

  • Bayern Munich to win & BTTS - Yes @ 5/4
  • Over 4.5 goals @ 7/4

The sides last met in November, with Bayern pushing past the embarrassment of losing a two-goal lead to win 4-2 in Munich.

Harry Kane grabbed the first two for Tuchel's side with Raphael Guerreiro and Eric Choupo-Moting scoring as second-half substitutes. Tim Kleindienst and Jan-Niklas Beste were on the scoresheet for Heidenheim.

Team News

The hosts will be without 29-year-old forward Nikola Dovedan, who was sent off in the final few minutes of last weekend's 3-3 draw at Stuttgart.

Adrian Beck and Thomas Keller continue to miss out with an ankle and knee injury respectively.

Bayern are without club captain Manuel Neuer once again. He suffered an adductor injury two weeks ago and subsequently missed a couple of friendlies for Germany and last week's Der Klassiker defeat to Borussia Dortmund.

Sven Ulreich will deputise between the sticks but there are further absentees in Aleksandar Pavlovic, Noussair Mazraoui, Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sane.

Sacha Boey, who joined for big money from Galatasaray in January, is also still out with a hamstring injury.

Match Odds

Heidenheim are 7/1 - or a 12.5% chance - to add to Bayern's woes and record just their second victory of the calendar year, with the Bavarians priced at 3/10, giving them an implied win probability of 76.9%.

The draw can be backed at 5/1 and it's 8/15 for both teams to score, as they did in the reverse fixture at the Allianz Arena in November.

Bayern Munich to win & BTTS - Yes @ 5/4

The big question here, is - will Tuchel rotate with Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg at Arsenal in mind? And if so, just how much? Clearly, the priority for Bayern now is Europe's premier club competition, but they won't want to entirely neglect the Bundesliga and end up finishing below the likes of Stuttgart and Borussia Dortmund.

Plus, there will be a determination to get instil some confidence before a tough trip to the Emirates Stadium in midweek.

For those reasons, Bayern should be able to power through on Saturday and get the job done. Heidenheim have had a solid season in their maiden Bundesliga campaign, but their standards have slipped markedly in the last few months.

They'll fancy their chances of getting on the score sheet, though - they've found the back of the net in six of their last eight and only Hoffenheim (23) and Borussian Monchengladbach (20) have had both teams to score land more often than Heidenheim (19) this season.

Over 4.5 goals @ 7/4

Only Darmstadt (nine) have seen more games finish with over 4.5 goals than Bayern and Heidenheim (both eight), so we could be in for a goal fest at the Voith-Arena.

Heidenheim were certainly in goalscoring mood last weekend as they struck three times at Champions League-chasing Stuttgart, while Bayern hit Mainz for eight (8-1) and Darmstadt for five (5-2) before losing to Dortmund.

These sides have only met twice before - the reverse fixture in November when six goals were scored, and in the DFB Pokal quarter-finals in April 2019 when Bayern edged out a 5-4 classic.

Heidenheim have got little to play for so they can afford to continue being adventurous, while Bayern will be eager to get the goals flowing again before Tuesday's trip to north London.
