Grimsby vs Slough Prediction: Mariners can avoid upset in high-scoring clash

Grimsby Town narrowly avoided a giant killing at Slough earlier this month but will hope to put in a much-improved performance when they welcome the part-timers to Blundell Park on Tuesday for this FA Cup replay.

Toby Mullarkey is set to fill in at right-back for Grimsby again with Michee Efete still sidelined, while the hosts will also be without three players due to international call-ups, with attackers Abo Eisa and Otis Khan and midfielder Kamil Conteh all on international duty. 

Slough midfielder Leon Chambers-Parillon is expected to return to the squad after injury, while George Alexander should lead the line for the visitors again after Tom McElroy left for Beaconsfield earlier this month.

The hosts, who sit 21st in League Two, are without a clean sheet in 14 competitive games and face a Slough side that knows how to find the back of the net. The visitors lost a seven-goal thriller at Welling United at the weekend and have scored 13 goals in their last five matches, while they have also notched ten in their previous four away games. 

The Mariners are unbeaten in seven FA Cup home games in a run stretching back to 15, and they should be able to avoid an upset on Tuesday.  

They scored three goals in front of their own fans at the weekend and could replicate that, making a Grimsby win & both teams to score an appealing option alongside a 3-1 correct score prediction at 11/1.
