Greece vs Finland Prediction: This game can deliver goals at both ends

Greece host Finland in the Uefa Nations League on Saturday (19:45) as they play out their League B Group 2 opening fixture. England and the Republic of Ireland are the other two sides in this group so it is a tough draw.
Both will want to start their campaigns strongly and my Greece vs Finland prediction would suggest that these two sides can put on an entertaining display. You will also find the team news and odds for this match below.

Greece are 7/10, or a 58.8% chance, to win this match. Finland are priced at 100/30 to take the three points, giving them an implied probability of 23.1%. The draw can be backed at 5/2 (28.6%).
Both teams to score is available at 1/1 and over 2.5 goals is marketed at 11/10.
Greece's Vangelis Pavlidis is the favourite to score in this contest with a 9/5 anytime price.
Team News
Anastasios Bakasetas and Christos Tzolis were the scorers in Greece's 2-0 win over Malta in their last outing in June, and those two should feature in the attacking midfield roles again alongside Giorgos Masouras.
Liverpool full-back Konstantinos Tsimikas is back in the squad after missing out on the June camp, and he will be vying for some game time as he continues to understudy for Andy Robertson at Anfield.
New Benfica striker Vangelis Pavlidis should continue up front for Ivan Jovanovic, who gets his first taste of competitive action after taking the managerial position in June. The front man has six goals in 38 appearances for Ethniki, and there is hope that his move to Benfica will have a positive impact on his performances on the international stage.
For Finland, veteran striker Teemu Pukki is still making himself available for selection at the age of 34, and with two goals against Portugal back in June, you can see why. The former Norwich City man will be hoping to maintain his place up front in Markku Kanerva's team.
Benjamin Kallman and Oliver Antman were the scorers as Finland came from two goals down to draw with Scotland in their last appearance. Both players started the match on the bench, and they will be hoping that those latest contributions will help their case for starts against Greece on Saturday.
Both teams to score @ 1/1
I like the attacking options that both teams possess, so I think 1/1 for both teams to score here is pretty generous. Finland's Pukki continues to show that age is just a number as he continues to profit on the international stage, while Greece's Pavlidis has all the makings to become their star, and as I have already mentioned, his transfer to Benfica could aid him in his evolution.
Both teams to score has also been a winning selection in six of Finland's last seven matches, while it has landed in two of Greece's last five. The two managers both have a selection of players who can come up with big moments in games, which has also played into my thinking. It should be an entertaining first encounter in this group, and I am confident that we will see goals at both ends.
Bet builder - Vangelis Pavlidis & Teemu Pukki to score anytime @ 7/1
I have been talking a lot about these two players in this preview so far, so I think it is only right to put my money where my mouth is and back them both to score. I think this game will have entertainment value and I think both these players can be central to that.
Finland legend Pukki is the all-time leading goalscorer for his nation with 42 goals, and I think he is partly driven to keep going for his country is to try and put this record out of reach for any would-be successor. He continues to shine, as his Portugal brace was evidence of, and I think he certainly has what it takes to net against Greece on Saturday.
As for Pavlidis, he is off the mark for Benfica in 2024/25 and as he bids to become prolific for the Portuguese outfit, he also hopes that he can score more regularly for his country. This Nations League clash presents an opportunity for him to start getting into a rhythm while playing for Greece, and that in turn will aid him in his domestic ambitions.
A tidy 7/1 price on these two to score has certainly caught my attention.
