Girona vs Feyenoord Prediction: Underdog visitors can stun hosts

Girona and Feyenoord go in search of their first Champions League points in the second round of league phase games on Wednesday (17:45, TNT Sports 10) when they clash at the Estadio Municipal de Montilivi in one of the evening’s two early kick-offs.
Feyenoord went down 4-0 at home to Bayer Leverkusen in their opener, although that scoreline perhaps flattered the German champions. Girona nearly managed to come away from Paris with a point but were undone by a late own goal as they slipped to a 1-0 loss at PSG in their first ever appearance in a European competition.
Girona come into the game as the 19/20 favourites, Feyenoord are the 11/4 underdogs and a draw is on offer at 11/4.
Goals are expected as both teams to score is 8/15 and over 2.5 goals pays out at 4/7, while home striker Cristhian Stuani and Bojan Miovski lead the anytime scorers market at 5/4 and 13/10, respectively.
Team News
Girona were dealt a double blow in their stalemate with Celta Vigo at the weekend as Oriol Romeu and Daley Blind were forced off, with both expected to miss out on Wednesday.
They join Jastin Garcia (shoulder) and Ricard Artero (ankle) on the sidelines.
Feyenoord will be without star forward Santiago Gimenez for around three months due to a hip injury so Ayase Ueda should continue to lead the line in attack.
Quilindschy Hartman, Calvin Stengs and Bart Niewkoop are all closing in on returns but Wednesday's game will come too soon for the trio.
Feyenoord to win @ 11/4
Feyenoord were handed a bit of a lesson in their Champions League opener as they slipped to a 4-0 loss at home to a rampant Bayer Leverkusen side. However, that margin of victory flattered the Bundesliga outfit and Feyenoord were able to fashion a few chances - including a disallowed goal.
Girona's success last term was built on their incredible home record but they haven't been able to match that this season.
The Catalan club have won just one of their three home games so farin 2024-25 and head into this game in poor form. Girona are winless in five (D2, L3) and have only scored twice during that run.
With Girona struggling in attack and looking low on confidence, Feyenoord appeal as underdogs here as their only defeat so far has come against Bayer.

Igor Paixao to score anytime @ 3/1
Gimenez's injury leaves a big void to fill in Rotterdam, and Brazilian forward Igor Paixao can play his part with an anytime effort at Girona.
Paixao has two goals in six Eredivisie games this term but perhaps should have a few more to his name.
The 24-year-old is averaging 3.3 attempts per-game in the Dutch top flight and had two attempts against Leverkusen, so he should get an opportunity or two against the Catalan side and at 3/1, he looks a good value play in the anytime scorer market.
