Both Mauro Arambarri and Enes Unal are sidelined with injuries for the hosts, while Luis Milla is also a major doubt.

Ferran Torres will be absent for Barca due to suspension, while new recruit Ilkay Gundogan could make his league debut for the Spanish giants.

However, Inigo Martínez is yet to train with the first team. The centre-back signed on a free from Athletic Club to replace the retired Gerard Pique, but is suffering with a foot injury.

Barcelona to win to nil @ 13/10

Getafe have failed to win their last two La Liga opening fixtures, while Barcelona won 23 of their 38 league games without conceding last season.

Xavi’s side come into this game after successive pre-season friendly victories against Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan and Real Madrid, and have registered three victories in the last five meetings with Getafe.

The hosts lost two of their three matches during their pre-season schedule, and have failed to score in their last three meetings with Barca.

Back the away win to nil in this one.

Robert Lewandowski to score first @ 12/5

The former Bayern Munich striker scored 33 goals in 46 matches for Barcelona last season across all competitions and will be eager to open his account for the new campaign on Sunday.

The Polish international scored 23 goals in 34 appearances in La Liga, and although he didn’t score in the opening game last season, he went on to score 10 in the next six league outings.

Lewandowski failed to score against Getafe last season, so he will want to right that wrong this weekend.
