Germany vs Netherlands Prediction: Home side can secure three points

The Nations League, for all its faults, does produce competitive regular clashes between some of the biggest countries in world football. We’ve got another belting game coming our way on Monday night as Germany host the Netherlands in a clash that could determine the winner of League A Group 3.
Read on to find out my Germany vs Netherlands prediction featuring team news and betting tips.
Team News
Germany are likely to go all out here and we can expect the attacking trio of Deniz Undav (who scored twice in the 2-1 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday), Florian Wirtz and Serge Gnabry are likely to pick off where they left off, while Alexander Nubel looks set to continue in goal as Julian Nagelsmann looks to nail down his preferred starting goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, the Netherlands are without Memphis Depay this month so have turned to Cody Gakpo and Joshua Zirkzee to provide them with goals. Virgil van Dijk is also set to start at the back again, as the Dutch target a rare clean sheet.
Defender Virgil van Dijk is suspended following the red card he picked up in the 1-1 draw with Hungary on Friday.
Germany are priced at 4/5 to win this game with the Netherlands available at 16/5. A draw can be backed at 3/1, over 2.5 goals is 8/15 and BTTS is also 8/15.
Over 3.5 goals @ 11/8
These two have quality littered throughout their squads and I just believe there will be loads of goals in this one. In Zirkzee, the Dutch have a striker with a point to prove after a sticky start to life in Manchester, but Ronald Koeman is desperate to get his forward line firing.
Meanwhile, we all know how good Germany were at Euro 2024 and I’m happy to back them to continue their strong form. They are currently without Kai Havertz and Jamal Musiala but that won’t slow them down in front of goal in my eyes as a few of their fringe players get the chance to prove themselves. Meanwhile, Wirtz is still one of the finest attackers in Europe and should play a big part in front of goal.

Germany to win @ 4/5
The Netherlands have incredible individuals, especially in defence, but Germany are a different beat these days. They beat Bosnia on Friday night and seem to be getting better and better under Nagelsmann. Of course, they were perhaps unfortunate not to get to the final of Euro 2024 given they were obviously the second best team at the tournament, but they came up against the eventual winners Spain in the quarter-finals.
They had home advantage then, and they have home advantage once again for this one. Having drawn 2-2 with the Netherlands last month away from home, I think they will go one better here and secure the points.
