Germany vs Greece Prediction: Die Mannschaft to respond to goalless draw with Ukraine

Euro 2024 hosts Germany welcome Greece to Borussia-Park, home of Borussia Monchengladbach, for their final warm-up match on Friday night (19:45) before the tournament begins in a week's time as they take on Scotland.
Die Mannschaft were held to a disappointing draw with Ukraine last time out, so boss Julian Nagelsmann will be wanting a more convincing display here to send his side into the Euros. Read on for my Germany vs Greece prediction, accompanied by match odds and team news.
Germany vs Greece Betting Tips
Germany are the 3/10 favourites to win here, which gives them an implied probability of 76.9%. Greece are priced at 9/1, giving them a 10% chance of victory. The draw can be backed at 4/1 (20%).
Both teams to score is on offer at 10/11 and over 2.5 goals is marketed at 4/7.
Team News
After lacking a cutting edge in the final third against Ukraine, Nagelsmann will be able to call upon striker Niclas Fullkrug after the Borussia Dortmund player was given time to recover after the Champions League final on Saturday. This means that his teammate Nico Schlotterbeck, as well as Real Madrid stars Toni Kroos and Antonio Rudiger are available for selection.
Kroos, whose last actions in professional football will be at the Euros due to his imminent retirement, looks set to partner captain Ilkay Gundogan in midfield, and it is hard to see any match at the upcoming tournament in which they don't start together.
This would leave one spot available, which the likes of Pascal Groß, Robert Andrich and Aleksandar Pavlovic will be tussling for.
Greece are without the services of 36-year-old defender Giorgos Tzavellas, who has retired from international football, while Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas and ex-Sheffield United right-back George Baldock are missing from the squad.
Germany to win to nil @ 23/20
Nagelsmann will be happy to welcome back the stars of his squad who took part in the Champions League final, notably Kroos for his creativity from midfield, and Fullkrug for his goalscoring prowess.
Die Mannschaft know that they will need to be a lot better than they were the other night if they wish to fully capitalise on having a home Euros. They stand a good chance of becoming the European champions but they do need to find their rhythm heading into next week's opener with Scotland.
I expect we will see changes to the side that drew with Ukraine, and for the better. I can't see Germany being as flat in the final third this time around and I think the quality within their ranks will shine through.
I'm backing them to win this clash to nil, which will set them up nicely for the huge month ahead on home soil.
Niclas Fullkrug anytime goalscorer @ 13/10
Fullkrug has been Germany's biggest goal threat since Nagelsmann took the reins, with the attacker netting four goals in six appearances.
He heads into the summer off the back of a 15-goal season with the Black and Yellows across all competitions, and given his potency under Nagelsmann, he could be the starting forward at the Euros over the revitalised Kai Havertz.
What's good about Fullkrug as a number nine is that he offers a bit of everything, which is an excellent asset to have on the international stage. He can score from a variety of situations which is why I expect him to give Greece a torrid time on Friday night.
If you want to back a goalscorer for this contest, I think Fullkrug is the sensible way to go.
