Genoa vs Monza Prediction: Hosts can add to Monza’s woes

With one win in their last 14 games in all competitions, it’s been a tough time for Monza and things won’t get easier when they head to Genoa in Serie A on Monday night (19:45).
Read on for my Genoa vs Monza predictions, complete with the latest odds and team news.
Genoa are 5/4 to win on home soil, while Monza are 5/2 to claim the three points on the road.
A draw on Monday night is available at 21/10, while Genoa to be leading at half-time and full-time is currently 5/2.
Team News
Patrick Vieira’s Genoa have been boosted by some recently returned players, with Portuguese forward Vitinha and captain Milan Badelj two important figures coming back from injury.
Brooke Norton-Cuffy and Caleb Ekuban are also available after spells on the sidelines but the game will come too soon for Mattia Bani after he picked up a knock in the recent defeat at the hands of Roma.
For the visitors, Matteo Pessina, Roberto Gagliardini, Samuele Birindelli, Dany Mota and Luca Caldirola are all set to miss out for Monza due to injury, while Pablo Maris is unlikely to feature amid interest in his services from Fiorentina.
In more positive news for Monza manager Salvatore Bocchetti, Pedro Pereira is available again after serving his one-match suspension.
Genoa to win @ 5/4
Given Monza’s recent form it’s hard to look past Genoa claiming all three points at the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris on Monday night.
Monza have lost all of their last four away games in Serie A, while they have won just one of their last 17 games on the road in the league.
Unbeaten in three games prior to a defeat at Roma last time out, Genoa have enjoyed a recent upturn in fortunes under Vieira.
Having won 1-0 at Monza in their meeting earlier this season, Genoa are good value at 5/4 to complete a league double against I Biancorossi on Monday.

Andrea Pinamonti to score anytime @ 15/8
On loan from Sassuolo, Andrea Pinamonti has been performing well on his return to one of his former clubs, Genoa.
The top goalscorer in Serie A this season for I Rossoblu, Pinamonti was the scorer of the decisive goal at Stadio Brianteo when Genoa beat Monza earlier this season.
Last scoring at the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris in a 2-1 defeat to Serie A frontrunners Napoli earlier this month, Pinamonti is well priced to add to his goal tally for the season on Monday.
