A place in the new-look Champions League league phase is the prize at stake as Galatasaray and Young Boys square off in Istanbul on Tuesday evening (20:00).

The Swiss side edged a five-goal thriller in the first leg last week, a late penalty from Filip Ugrinic doing the final damage, but they'll face a testing evening in Turkey if they are going to finish the job.

Galatasaray vs Young Boys Betting Tips

  • Over 1.5 First Half Goals @ 11/10
  • Michy Batshuayi to score first @ 4/1

Galatasaray vs Young Boys Odds

Galatasaray need to win to progress, after losing the first leg, and they are strong favourites at 1/3 to do just that. Young Boys would be satisfied with a draw, priced at 9/2, while the Swiss outfit are 6/1 to complete a home and away double.

The Turks are 1/2 to win the tie overall, while last week's two-goal hero Michy Batshuayi is 4/1 to open the scoring for the home side at Rams Park.

Team News

Abdulkerim Bardakci was sent off in the first leg and will miss out here for Galatasaray, with manager Okan Buruk having to rethink now. The Gala boss had to withdraw goalkeeper Fernando Muslera at half-time in Switzerland last week with an injury, so Gunay Guvenc is in contention for a start now.

Wilfried Zaha was an unused sub in the first leg and, with continuing speculation over his future at the club, it remains to be seen if he will be involved.

Remarkably, Young Boys also subbed off shot-stopper David Von Ballmoos in the first leg, with 22-year-old deputy Marcel Keller donning the gloves. Facinet Conte and Saidy Janko are likely to be absent again, but Kastriot Imeri is back in contention after playing 50 minutes in the reserves over the weekend.

Over 1.5 First Half Goals @ 11/10

It took just three minutes for Joel Monteiro to open the scoring in Bern last week and this second leg should be another open affair with plenty goals. Young Boys led 2-0 at the break in that game, though Galatasaray had decent scoring chances of their own before the break.

Over the 90 minutes, the pair combined for 36 goal attempts. Backed by a partisan home crowd, the Turks will want to attack this challenge, while Young Boys are more than capable on the break. There could be goals from the get-go again, and over 1.5 First Half Goals looks a solid play.

Over 1. 5 first half goals Michy Batshuayi to score first @ 4/1

Michy Batshuayi is onto his third Turkish club now and the 30-year-old Belgian changed the game last week after coming on as a second half sub. He scored with his first touch and added another soon after to bring his side level after they trailed 0-2 at the interval.

Batshuayi scored 24 times in 43 appearances for Fenerbahce last term. He has been forced to be patient so far at Galatasaray, but has twice scored after coming on in their last three games. A first competitive start has surely been earned now and he could be the man to get the home side level on aggregate.
