Fulham vs ipswich town

Fulham will begin 2025 by welcoming Ipswich Town to Craven Cottage on Sunday afternoon (14:00, live on Sky Sports Main Event).

After bagging a dramatic 2-1 win away at London rivals Chelsea on Boxing Day, Marco Silva’s men were held to a 2-2 draw by Bournemouth last time out. However, the Tractor Boys will arrive in the capital boosted by a tremendous 2-0 win over Chelsea on Monday night. Read on for my Fulham vs Ipswich Town prediction, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

Sander Berge is close to a return according to Silva, but he's not expected to feature this weekend, while Reiss Nelson is also set to miss out due to a hamstring problem.

Kenny Tete and Harrison Reed are both sidelined with knee injuries, and Harry Wilson will be hoping to keep his place in the starting XI after netting in his previous two appearances.

As for the visitors, Conor Chaplin will be absent for a few weeks with a knee issue and he'll join the likes of Axel Tuanzebe, Chiedozie Ogbene, George Hirst and Massimo Luongo on the sidelines.

Fulham vs Ipswich Town Odds

The hosts are favourites for Sunday's encounter at 4/7, the draw is 100/30 and an Ipswich win can be backed at 5/1.

Raul Jimenez leads the anytime goalscorer market at 6/5, while Liam Delap is the shortest-priced for the Tractor Boys at 11/4.

Fulham to win and both teams to score @ 21/10

When Fulham taste victory, it doesn't tend to be by much, as shown by their goal difference of three.

Ipswich have conceded 33 goals so far this term, and only scored 18, but given Fulham's defensive worries heading into this encounter, I'm backing both teams to score on Sunday.

Both teams have got on the scoresheet on all bar one of Fulham’s 10 Premier League home games this season. The same selection would have also proven profitable in five of Ipswich’s last seven league games away from Portman Road.

In terms of the match result, I'm siding with a home win as Ipswich have only won two of their nine road trips this season, while the Cottagers have only tasted defeat twice in front of their fans.

Sam Morsy to receive a card @ 8/5

My second selection sees Sam Morsy picking up a booking.

The combative Egyptian midfielder has received six cautions so far this campaign - only four players have received more.

The 33-year-old was booked in the reverse fixture between the sides on August 31, and has also picked up yellow cards in the away trips to Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion.
