After an embarrassing 3-1 defeat against Nottingham Forest last time out, Fulham will look to bounce back as they return to Craven Cottage to take on Newcastle United on Saturday (15:00). The Magpies conceded a late equaliser to Everton in midweek, failing to build on last weekend's dramatic victory over West Ham United.

The Cottagers have tended to fare better on home soil this season but we think their defensive woes could continue here as our Fulham vs Newcastle predictions below would suggest. Below we provide team news and match odds for this top-flight clash.

Fulham vs Newcastle Betting Tips

  • Over 3.5 goals @ 5/4
  • Alexander Isak to score anytime @ 5/4

Match Odds

Fulham are valued at 7/5, or a 41.7% chance to take the three points in west London. Newcastle are marketed at 7/4 which gives them a probability of 36.4%. The draw can be backed at 13/5, which has a 27.8% chance of landing on Saturday.

Both teams to score is priced at 4/9, which has landed in Newcastle's last seven away games in the Premier League. It has also delivered in seven of Fulham's last nine, as well as the Magpies' last three encounters.

Over 2.5 goals is on offer at 8/15. Newcastle striker Alexander Isak has scored 15 times in the Premier League this season and is priced at 9/2 to open the scoring at Craven Cottage.

No player in the Premier League has scored more goals than Fulham's Rodrigo Muniz (eight) in 2024. He is 23/20 to score anytime in this one.

Team News

Fulham boss Marco Silva has a fully-fit squad to choose from this weekend but there could be plenty of changes afoot after the horror show in midweek. He replaced Harry Wilson, Sasa Lukic and Alex Iwobi just after the half-hour mark with his side 3-0 down at the City Ground. All three could be dropped to the bench for the visit of Newcastle.

As for the Magpies, they have a lot of injuries to contend with. Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles are long-term absentees with ACL injuries. Also in the medical bay is Lewis Miley, Callum Wilson, Nick Pope, Valentino Livramento, Miguel Almiron, Kieran Trippier, Joelinton and Matt Targett. Head coach Eddie Howe is very short in almost every department. Sandro Tonali remains out through suspension.

The visitors will welcome back Anthony Gordon from his own suspension, while it is believed Lewis Hall will be deemed fit to be involved at the weekend.

Over 3.5 goals @ 5/4

We expect a flurry of goals in this one because recently both these teams have been involved in high-scoring affairs. Fulham's last two games has seen over 3.5 goals land and for Newcastle, 10 of their last 12 matches in the league have seen a minimum of four goals scored.

Both sides boast impressive goalscorers with Fulham's Muniz discovering his scoring boots in the last two months, while Newcastle's Isak has been porductive throughout the campaign. The two strikers are likely going to play huge roles in Saturday's clash and it wouldn't be at all surprising to see them both get on the scoresheet.

As well as these two pioneers, Fulham have seen Bobby Decordova-Reid, Wilson, Willian, Iwobi and Joao Palhinha get on the scoresheet a few times this campaign. The same goes for Newcastle with Harvey Barnes, Bruno Guimaraes, Gordon, Sean Longstaff, Dan Burn and Fabian Schar.

Over 3.5 goals at 5/4

Alexander Isak to score anytime @ 5/4

Newcastle may have spent big money on the Sweden international but his goals an performances have been showing everyone why. He is one of the best forwards in the league and only four players are outscoring him in the goal charts presently.

Isak is on a great scoring run at the moment with five goals in his last four Premier League appearances. His latest against Everton involved him showing his class once again.

Harvey Barnes played an inviting ball over the top for him to run onto and with his composure and skill, he took the ball inside the area before pulling the trigger when getting the right opening at goal. It's clear why he will be one of the most sought-after players in Europe heading into the summer.

His price tag will only increase with the more goals he gets between now and the end of the season, and we fancy him to reach the 20-goal mark in the league.

Alexander Isak to score anytime at 5/4
