Liverpool came from behind at Anfield to beat Fulham 2-1 in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final. They now head to Craven Cottage on Tuesday (20:00) looking to get the job done and secure their place in the competition's showpiece at Wembley Stadium, in what would be two years after they lifted the three-handled trophy against Chelsea.

The Reds turned in an impressive performance at AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League over the weekend, beating the Cherries 4-0 thanks to braces from Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez. They appear to be coping just fine without talisman Mohamed Salah, and they will be confident ahead of this clash with the Cottagers.

Fulham have had over a week to reflect on their defeat at Anfield as well as their loss to Chelsea in the Premier League, but can the respite work in their favour?

Fulham vs Liverpool Betting Tips

  • Liverpool and both teams to score - 21/10
  • Diogo Jota to score anytime - 6/4

Match Odds

Fulham are as much as 16/5 to get the win here, while Liverpool are the favourites at the price of 8/11. A draw can be backed at 3/1.

Both teams did find the back of the net in the first leg, you can back BTTS here at 4/7. Over 2.5 goals is available at the same odds.

Team News

Adama Traore is Fulham's only injury concern at present with a hamstring issue, but it is hoped that he will be back in contention soon. It isn't ruled out that he could be involved in the squad to face Liverpool on Tuesday.

Alex Iwobi, Fode Ballo-Toure and Calvin Bassey are unavailable for the hosts due to their participation at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Liverpool are without Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo, who are on AFCON and Asian Cup duty respectively. Salah is returning to Merseyside, however, to treat a muscle injury he picked up at the tournament.

He will join Thiago Alcantara, Stefan Bajcetic, Joel Matip, Ben Doak, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kostas Tsimikas and Andrew Robertson in the medical room.

Liverpool and both teams to score @ 21/10

Liverpool showed their class in their second-half performance against Bournemouth last time out with all their goals coming after the interval. They were rather disjointed in the first-half, emphasising their habit of starting slowly in games this season.

This was also the case in the first leg against Fulham as they went behind to the Cottagers. We have a feeling that a slow start again could see Fulham get ahead early and level the score on aggregate to spark this semi-final back into life.

However, this will only lead to Jurgen Klopp's side turning up the gears, like they did against the Cherries, and they should be able to get the job done in regulation time, particularly if Jota and Nunez are involved.

Liverpool and both teams to score at 21/10

Diogo Jota to score anytime @ 6/4

Jota the slotter, as he is known by the Anfield faithful, was excellent in Dorset at the weekend with his brace and an assist for the Reds. He has now scored 11 goals across all competitions this term and only Salah has scored more for Klopp's team.

The Portuguese attacker is a real threat to opponents when he features for Liverpool, and it doesn't really matter where precisely he features. Given the confidence boost he will have received against the Cherries, Klopp is likely going to want to utilise it against Fulham as he seeks another trip to Wembley as the Reds's boss.

Jota is likely to start down the middle again in this clash and with pin-point finishing, if he gets a sight of goal at Craven Cottage, you are confident that you will see the net rustle. At 6/4, we think the Liverpool marksman is worth backing to score here on Tuesday night.

Diogo Jota to score anytime at 6/4
