Fulham to win the match

Aleksandar Mitrovic’s move away from Fulham dominated the summer headlines for the Cottagers and they were expected to have a much trickier time in the Premier League following the Serbian’s departure to the Saudi Pro League.

However, the loss of the forward appears to have been majorly overplayed and the fact that Fulham held onto influential midfielder Joao Palhinha may have a much bigger impact on their progress.

Marco Silva has seen his side lose only two of their opening eight matches in all competitions and one of those reversals came against the Premier League champions, Manchester City.

The west London side have beaten Tottenham in the EFL Cup and picked up a draw when traveling to the Emirates to play Arsenal, while they managed to secure good wins over Everton and Luton.

Fulham certainly appear to be playing well enough to beat a Chelsea side that has recorded just one Premier League victory all season and look miles away from finding a winning formula and settled team.

Under 2.5 goals

Chelsea have scored only one goal in their last four matches and have found the net just five times in six Premier League games this term.

The Blues have also managed only one goal in their three top-flight away contests this season and Mauricio Pochettino seems to lack the personnel to improve Chelsea’s attacking output.

The former Spurs gaffer can’t call on the suspended Nicolas Jackson, which further weakens the Chelsea forward line and the Blues are running into a stubborn Fulham defence.

The Cottagers have kept back-to-back Premier League clean sheets, they have allowed only three strikes in three top-flight Craven Cottage matches this season and Silva appears to have a rearguard that can keep this game from busting the 2.5-goal line.

Axel Disasi to be shown a card

Axel Disasi has looked more like Axel disaster in the early stages of his Chelsea career and he may find himself in trouble with the referee at Craven Cottage.

The 25-year-old has been booked in both of his two previous away starts for the Blues and the Frenchman looks like an accident waiting to happen whenever he is required to defend.

Fulham should be competitive enough in this contest, to keep Disasi busy, and the defender is worth backing to pick up a card.
