Brighton and Hove Albion will hope to continue their push for a top seven finish as they travel to the capital to face Fulham. The Cottagers are on a high after beating Manchester United at Old Trafford, while the Seagulls crashed out of the FA Cup in midweek. Below we’ve taken a look at this fixture and come up with a couple of betting picks.

Brighton vs Fulham Tips

  • Brighton to win and BTTS @ 3/1
  • Simon Adingra to score anytime @ 11/5

Team News

Harrison Reed suffered a head injury against Manchester United but should be fit to play here, while Willian is also getting closer to a return. Raul Jiminez is continuing his recovery from a thigh issue and will miss the next couple of weeks for the home side.

Brighton went out of the cup on Wednesday night and Kaoru Mitoma is out for the season. Solly March is out for the long term, and Billy Gilmour is suspended after his red card. Evan Ferguson and Joel Veltman missed the midweek defeat to Wolves, but could return here depending on the extent of their injuries.

Match Odds

Fulham are priced at 7/4 for this one, while Brighton are priced at 7/5. A draw can be backed at 13/5, over 2.5 goals is 8/13 and BTTS is 8/15.

Brighton to win and BTTS @ 3/1

This is a tough game to call, but on paper, I just feel Brighton are superior to Fulham. It’s as simple as that. Even with their injuries, Roberto De Zerbi should be able to get a tune out of them, and despite their FA Cup exit, they can pick up all three points.

Brighton have lost one of their last four Premier League matches, to Spurs late on, while BTTS has come in in three of those games. Only Sheffield United, who went down to ten men early on, have failed to score against the Seagulls in their last six games in all competitions, so I can see this game having plenty of goals.

Despite Fulham’s positive result at Old Trafford, I think the away side will have enough to take all three points. We can add both teams to score to improve our odds to 3/1, as that has also come in during Fulham’s last four outings.

Simon Adingra to score anytime @ 11/5

With Evan Ferguson not quite hitting the heights he did last term, and Danny Welbeck leading the line in recent weeks, Brighton’s goals have been coming from all over the park. One player in particular who has come to the fore over the past month has been Simon Adingra.

The young Ivorian winger has played every minute of Brighton’s last three games, and scored twice in the 5-0 win over Sheffield United. His goalscoring record throughout his fledgling career has been good, and he scored 11 goals on loan at Union SG last term. Now showing his class in the Premier League, he should be able to find the net again against a Fulham side struggling to keep clean sheets.
