There’s more Serie A action to come on Thursday with Fiorentina making the trip to the Stadio Benito Stirpe to take on Frosinone.
The games have been piling up for La Viola at this early stage of the season and that might be able to give Frosinone a helping hand in their endeavours to get something from this clash.
Frosinone are available at 11/4 to claim the win on home soil, with Fiorentina at 19/20 to claim the three points on the road. The draw on the evening is currently 5/2.
Starting with the hosts, Frosinone will have to do without the midfield pairing of Abdou Harroui and Francesco Gelli due to injury, while a muscular problem could also keep Pol Lirola out on the sidelines.
Riccardo Marchizza, Anthony Oyono and Simone Romagnoli have been mainstays and have impressed in the heart of the Frosinone defence, so expect no changes at the back for the hosts.
As for visitors Fiorentina, they were rocked by the news full-back Dodo is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines with an ACL injury he picked up in the win over Udinese last time out.
Dodo joins Gaetano Castrovilli as a long-term absentee for I Viola, while Colombian defender Yerry Mina will also miss Thursday’s encounter due to injury.
Michael Kayodye looks set to start in Dodo’s absence, while Nicolas Gonzalez is a slight doubt for the trip to Stadio Stirpe.
Draw @ 5/2
It has been a hectic start to the season for Fiorentina, with commitments in the Europa Conference League along with their domestic games.
Thursday’s game comes in a run of six games in 17 days for I Viola and it would not come as much of a surprise to see them drop points in this one.
Frosinone have been solid at home, winning three of their last four games in all competitions.
The draw on Thursday is available at 5/2 and is certainly worth considering here, with two of the last three meetings between these sides ending in stalemates.
Giacomo Bonaventura anytime goalscorer @ 13/5
A veteran player enjoying some great form at present, Giacomo Bonaventura offers good value in the anytime goalscorer market.
The 34-year-old midfielder has scored in back-to-back Serie A games for Fiorentina going into this match and will be eager to make it three on the bounce.
The former AC Milan and Italy international has made a bright start to the season for the Tuscan outfit and can add to his tally this week in what might well prove to be a stalemate at Stadio Stirpe.
