Bayern Munich are aiming to put some pressure on Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen with an away victory against Freiburg on Friday, 1st March.

Bayern are eight points behind Leverkusen at the start of the 24th round of fixtures so they cannot afford another slip-up when Friday's game kicks off at Europa-Park Stadion at 7.30pm.

Freiburg vs Bayern Munich Betting Tips

  • Bayern Munich to win and both teams to score @ 13/8
  • #PickYourPunt - Over 3.5 goals, Jamal Musiala anytime goalscorer & Draw/Bayern Munich Half Time/Full Time @ 22/1

Team News

Freiburg are missing injured centre-back Philipp Lienhart but captain Christian Gunter is available after recovering from a broken arm.

Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt is suspended but Serge Gnabry and Alphonso Davies could be back in the squad. Gnabry is likely to be on the bench with Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sane and Thomas Muller expected to start behind striker Harry Kane.

Match Odds

Freiburg beat Bayern Munich in the DFB-Pokal last season but they have lost eight of their last nine Bundesliga meetings and are 5/1 to upset their 4/9 visitors on Friday.

The draw is a 4/1 chance and Harry Kane, who is nine goals clear of Stuttgart's Serhou Guirassy in the race for the Golden Boot, is 11/4 to be first goalscorer.

Bayern Munich to win and both teams to score @ 13/8

After Bundesliga defeats to title rivals Bayer Leverkusen and lowly Bochum, Bayern Munich claimed a much-needed 2-1 win over RB Leipzig last weekend.

They left it late, however, as Harry Kane scored an injury-time winner and their defence has looked shaky for a while and they may struggle to keep a clean sheet at Freiburg on Friday.

Bayern, whose manager Thomas Tuchel will be leaving at the end of the season, are bidding to overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit in their Champions League last-16 tie against Lazio next week.

Before then, a victory at Freiburg is crucial if they are to overhaul Leverkusen in the title race and they should be backed to win a game in which both teams score.

Bayern have conceded 14 goals in their last five away league matches but Freiburg's record against the top clubs is dismal.

They have lost all seven of their meetings with the top five by an aggregate score of 23-5 and the 3-1 Bayern win is worth considering at 10/1 in the correct-score

Bayern and both teams to score at 13/8

#PickYourPunt - Over 3.5 goals, Jamal Musiala anytime goalscorer & Draw/Bayern Munich Half Time/Full Time @ 22/1

There will be plenty of attacking talent on display at Europa-Park Stadion but both teams look vulnerable at the back so over 3.5 goals is a solid first leg for our #PickYourPunt.

Bayern striker Kane, who took his Bundesliga tally to 27 goals in 23 games against Leipzig last weekend, is a short price to find the net and Jamal Musiala makes more appeal in the goalscorer betting.

The youngster has scored six goals in 15 starts this term and registered 10 shots in his last two outings against Bochum and Leipzig.

Complete the bet by backing the draw-Bayern selection in the Half Time/Full Time market. It has been a winner in three of the Bavarians’ last four Bundesliga victories and Freiburg have scored only 13 second-half goals in 23 games this season.
