The Women’s Super League throws up a compelling clash on Friday night when Brighton & Hove Albion head to Goodison Park to face Everton (19:00 GMT, live on Sky Sports Premier League).

The Toffees have lost every game they’ve played at home this season, while Brighton have seen their manager Dario Vidosic step away on compassionate leave this week. Read on for our Football Bet of the Day for Friday.

Everton Women vs Brighton Women Odds

Understandably, given their record this season, Everton are 23/10 to win the clash of 10th and eighth in the WSL.

It’s the same price for a draw, while Brighton are 1/1 to take the three points south.

Betfred’s odds-makers have obviously been key followers of Everton’s home matches. Five games on home turf this term of yielded five defeats and a total of 13 goals conceded.

Even when they had their fixture against Manchester United to the Hill Dickinson Stadium in October, the Toffees squandered a half-time lead to be hammered 4-1.

Indeed, their only win in their home city this term was the opening-day victory over Liverpool in the Merseyside derby at Anfield.

It is a remarkable record for a side who dealt Chelsea their first league defeat in 19 months with a 1-0 win at Kingsmeadow in December.

Football Bet of the Day Stats

  • Everton have lost 5 of 5 home games this season, but have scored in 4 of those defeats
  • Brighton have conceded in 5 of 6 matches on the road, losing 4

Football Odds

The Seagulls, on the other hand, are having to get used to life without Vidosic for the time being after the head coach returned to Australia to deal with a family issue.

With assistant boss Chris Roberts in charge, they saw off Nottingham Forest 2-0 in the FA Cup on Sunday. But their league form away from home has been an issue until now.

Their one victory was a narrow 1-0 affair against London City Lionesses, while they were on the verge of defeat to previously-pointless Liverpool until Rosa Kafaji’s injury-time equaliser.

So the visitors also have something to prove arriving at Goodison, but with the goals of Kiko Seike, the guile of Fran Kirby and the threat of Marisa Olislagers, they should have enough to continue Everton’s issues on home turf.

While Brian Sorensen’s side have scored in four of their five home games, they concede too many to be competitive.

To that end, I’m backing Brighton to pick up the three points despite conceding at 13/5. That’s an implied probability of 27.8% for what has been an 80% eventuality for Everton in 2025/26.
