Football Bet of the Day: Frankfurt to claim an important win

Friday night Bundesliga action comes from Weserstadion, as Werder Bremen host Eintracht Frankfurt (19:30 GMT, BBC iPlayer). The hosts are winless in six top-flight matches, while the visitors have just one win in six games.
This could be an interesting encounter, and as such, I have selected my Football Bet of the Day from this contest, which you can view below.

Werder Bremen vs Eintracht Frankfurt Odds
Bremen won their previous home clash with Frankfurt in April, and they are 8/5 to end their winless run on Friday.
The meeting before that victory inside this stadium ended in a stalemate, with the draw marketed at 5/2. This has also been the outcome in two of Frankfurt's past three outings in the Bundesliga.
Can Uzun is Frankfurt's second top scorer in the league with six goals, and he is 7/4 to score anytime here.
But I think the real value in this clash lies in an away victory. Eintracht may be in a troubling run of form at the moment, but they have still been able to score goals, something Bremen have struggled with.
The hosts have blanked in each of their past three appearances, while Frankfurt have five goals across their last two fixtures. Die Adler's current dip in form has given them work to do in the race for the European places in the Bundesliga.
Dino Toppmoller's side are seventh at the time of writing, but the teams above them have games in hand, so ideally, Frankfurt need to get back to winning ways on Friday to help keep them in a decent position.
They are currently three points off fourth, but both RB Leipzig and Hoffenheim have two games in hand, while Bayer Leverkusen have one themselves.
In Bremen, Eintracht will look to put their scoring to good use against a side who have blanked in each of their last three matches coming into this clash.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- Frankfurt have won two of the last three meetings between the two sides
- Over 2.5 goals has landed in seven of their last nine away games in the league
Only league leaders Bayern Munich (63) have scored more goals than Frankfurt (35) so far this season. Die Adler's big issue is also the volume of goals they have been conceding. They have shipped 36 so far, which is only second to basement side Heidenheim at this stage of the season.
So while they will be eyeing an opportunity against Bremen, so too will the hosts.
I think the attacking resources that the visitors have gives value to an away win, but I think the accompaniment of goals can help boost the odds. The addition of over 2.5 goals appeals because it has been a successful bet in seven of Frankfurt's past nine road trips in the top flight.
There have also been three or more goals scored in three of Werder Bremen's previous four appearances in the Bundesliga ahead of Friday's battle.
