Football Bet of the Day: Palace set to deepen Tottenham’s woes

The midweek Premier League action is completed on Thursday with a crunch game for relegation-threatened Tottenham against Crystal Palace (kick-off, 7.30pm).
Spurs are in desperate need of points to allay their fears of falling into the Championship, but the Eagles are unlikely to be a pushover for a team who have struggled to gain points, particularly at home. Read on for Thursday's Football Bet of the Day.

Tottenham vs Crystal Palace Odds
Having started with such high hopes following their Europa League triumph in May, this season is turning into a nightmare for Tottenham and they could be placed in further relegation trouble when they face Crystal palace on Thursday.
Nothing has gone right at Spurs this term. Thomas Frank arrived with a big reputation and was sacked and new boss Igor Tudor looks perplexed about how he can drag his team away from the drop zone.
That looks like being no easy task with a treatment room that is full to bursting point and his best defender Cristian Romero suspended following a recent red card against Manchester United.
They have won just twice in the league since 26th October and conceded at least twice in each of their last eight league games.
The only points they gained from that run came when they recovered from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw with Manchester City and when they needed a last-minute Romero goal to earn a point at Burnley, one of the few clubs in a graver predicament.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- Spurs are on a winless run of 10 games in the Premier League
- Palace have scored in 10 consecutive games
They have gained just one league win at their impressive stadium since a 3-0 win over the Clarets on the opening weekend and Palace will undoubtedly fancy their chances on Thursday.
The Eagles have had their own issues having had a poor January when their defence of the FA Cup came to a sorry end at non-league Macclesfield, they saw defender Marc Guehi leave for Manchester City, and manager Oliver Glasner, who lead them to their first major trophy last season, announced he would be leaving at the end of the campaign.
However, there have been a few signs of encouragement recently as they remain in the Conference League and have gained league successes against arch-rivals Brighton and bottom-of-the-table Wolves, who have themselves been showing signs of life.
Palace were also unfortunate not to get anything at Manchester United on Sunday when they fell to a 2-1 defeat having played the last half an hour with ten men.
Recent signing Brennan Johnson should also have plenty of motivation to score his first goal against the team who sold him to Palace in January.
The former Nottingham Forest forward scored the goal which gave Spurs their first trophy in 17 years in May but was deemed surplus to requirements over the winter, so motivation should not be an issue for him and he will be desperate to prove a point in Thursday's clash.
