Football Bet of the Day: Three Lions to experience further frustration

After an underwhelming 1-0 victory over Andorra on Saturday, Thomas Tuchel will be looking for a much-improved performance from his England side when they take on Senegal on Tuesday night (19:45, live on ITV).
The Three Lions still have a 100% record under Tuchel's stewardship and will be looking to maintain that here. So, we head to the City Ground for Tuesday's Football Bet of the Day.
Football Bet of the Day - Tuesday, June 10
- England vs Senegal - Correct Score 1-1 @ 15/2
*odds correct at time of publication
The Three Lions are 2/5 to taste victory against Senegal, giving them an implied win probability of 71.4%, while the draw is 16/5 and the visitors are 11/2.
As mentioned in the introduction, England's performance against Andorra - a side ranked 173rd in the world - was lacklustre to say the least, and it raised more questions than answers.
Perhaps that performance wasn't too surprising given that it came at the end of a gruelling domestic campaign, and certain players within this squad will have one eye on the Club World Cup that starts later this week, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
In addition, Tuchel is still finding his feet in the the Three Lions dugout, despite boasting a 100% record three games into his England managerial career.
The German began his tenure with back-to-back home victories in the March international window, following a 2-0 win over Albania with a 3-0 victory against Latvia to take maximum points from their first two Fifa World Cup qualifiers.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- Two of England's last three games have seen under 2.5 goals scored
- Senegal have conceded just once in their last eight matches
The former Chelsea manager was left visibly frustrated with his side's performance against Andorra, but can take comfort from the fact that he's become the first England manager to start with three consecutive victories without conceding a goal.
However, Senegal are unbeaten in 23 matches across all international matches and I think they can frustrate England at the City Ground, especially since I think Tuchel is still figuring out his strongest lineup.
Tuesday's opponents played out a 1-1 draw with the Republic of Ireland on Friday in Dublin - their sixth match in a row that has gone under the 2.5 goal mark - and I believe that the Three Lions will experience further frustration here, as Senegal have proven themselves to be difficult to break down in recent times.
So, I wouldn't be surprised to see another drab affair play out on Tuesday, therefore I'm opting for a correct score prediction of 1-1.
