Hampton and Richmond to win at Weymouth
Weymouth have made a dismal start to the season, losing each of their first six games. They head into Tuesday’s home match having suffered five consecutive defeats to nil, while they’ve not scored across their three home games so far.
Hampton and Richmond have made a mixed start and they look unlikely to match last term’s ninth-place finish after losing three of their first six games. However, they have an opportunity to seal a second victory of the campaign in midweek.
Weymouth head into this clash winless across their last 11 league games, suffering nine defeats. Back their struggles to continue.
Tonbridge to beat St Albans
St Albans find themselves second bottom in the National League South, having taken just one point from their first six games. After losing each of their first three away trips this season, Tuesday’s visit to Tonbridge could prove difficult.
The hosts are unbeaten so far this term, winning three of their six games. Having taken seven points from three at home, they look well-placed to add to St Albans’ poor start to the campaign.
Tonbridge have won three of the last five meetings between the pair and given how the visitors have started, back the hosts for maximum points.
South Shields to beat Buxton
These two sides are mid-table at the early stage of the National League North campaign, but South Shields are expected to take all three points. The hosts narrowly missed out on the playoffs last season and they’ve picked up some form after a poor start.
The home side recovered from losing their opening two games to win three of their last four. They’ve already hosted the top two sides in the league this term, so South Shields are arguably stronger than their early results suggest.
Buxton make this trip having suffered three straight defeats and they’ve lost two from two on the road so far.
Scunthorpe to beat Curzon
The early pacesetters in the National League North meet on Tuesday, with three points splitting leaders Scunthorpe and second-placed Curzon Ashton.
The home side head into this game having failed to score in two of their last three games and Scunthorpe look poised to take full advantage of that dip in form. The visitors have won five of their first six games, conceding an 85th-minute equaliser in the other.
Scunthorpe have won three from three on the road without conceding this season, so back them to keep the hosts quiet and claim a victory.
