Another feast of footballing action awaits us on Saturday and in England, it is the FA Cup third round that takes centre stage, with Premier League and Championship clubs entering the fray. There are also games taking place in League 1 and League 2 for those who have already been knocked out of the famous competition.

Looking further afield, there are fixtures across the other major leagues around Europe, so there is plenty to choose from for an accumulator. This weekend I have gone for six selections, opting for the traditional match result market, with the selections combining for an enticing 25/1 price. Read on for my football accumulator tips for Saturday, January 11.

Barnsley to beat Northampton Town (A) @ 7/10

Barnsley are riding a wave of momentum in League 1 at the moment in their bid to strengthen their play-off credentials. The Tykes have won four games on the spin for the first time this season, and morale is high in Darrell Clarke's camp.

In this winning streak, Barnsley have dispatched two promotion rivals in Wrexham and Bolton Wanderers, while breezing past strugglers Crawley Town last time out. I think we could see them extend this run to five matches at Northampton Town this weekend, with the Cobblers winning just one of their last five league encounters.

That victory did come last time out against strugglers Burton Albion, but Kevin Nolan's side will face a much tougher test against Barnsley, who are in excellent form right now. I don't think Northampton have what it takes to stop a side who have won eight of their 12 away games this season - including each of their last three.

Stevenage to beat Burton Albion (H) @ 8/13

Speaking of the Brewers, I think they could be in for another disappointing afternoon when they travel to face Stevenage. The hosts may have won just one of their last five fixtures in the league but they have won three of their last four matches at the Lamex Stadium, and I can see this trend continuing when they face Burton.

The visitors have collected impressive draws against Huddersfield Town and Peterborough United recently but I think Stevenage's recent form at home will make this a tough test for a side who have won just two matches all season.

Notts County to beat Grimsby Town (A) @ 5/4

In League 2, Grimsby Town find themselves three points outside the play-offs but their next game comes against Notts County, who are currently sixth. The Magpies have performed well over the festive period, winning four of their last five fixtures. They suffered a defeat at league leaders Walsall but no one can begrudge them for that as the Saddlers are having an incredible campaign.

Grimsby have won two of their last five but have lost the other three, including their latest encounters with Bradford City and Accrington Stanley. Having responded well to the Walsall defeat with a 2-0 showing against Swindon Town, I can see Notts County delivering another strong performance at Grimsby, especially when you consider they thrashed them 4-1 at Meadow Lane earlier in the season.

Walsall to beat Tranmere Rovers (H) @ 4/7

The Saddlers are sitting comfortably at the summit with a 10-point lead on the sides closest to them and it doesn't look like they will be slowing down any time soon. Mat Sadler's men are unbeaten in their last 14 appearances in the fourth tier and they have won each of their last seven to pull away in the automatic promotion race.

They will be feeling fresh ahead of their return to the Bescot Stadium against Tranmere Rovers this weekend after their game at Cheltenham Town last weekend was postponed. The visitors head here off the back of an important win over bottom-ranked side Carlisle United, but they are not out of relegation danger themselves.

They've won just six games this term and I find it hard for them to defeat Walsall in their own backyard as the Saddlers have tasted defeat here just once in 2024/25. I'm expecting another routine victory for the league leaders on Saturday.

Birmingham City to beat Lincoln City (H) @ 8/13

In the FA Cup, League 1 leaders Birmingham City host division rivals Lincoln City. It's not the most exciting cup tie for either side seeing as they have played each other already this campaign.

That previous meeting came in the league at Sincil Bank back in October, which the Blues won 3-1. Chris Davies' side are yet to be beaten at St Andrew's this season and I struggle to see that streak ending this weekend.

Both sides are expected to rotate to give their key players a rest with focus on their respective races for promotion, and out of the two of them, Birmingham have far greater squad depth. I'm expecting that to be the difference here, so I'm going for a home win.

Atalanta to beat Udinese (A) @ 7/10

For my final selection, I head over to Italy. Serie A title challengers Atalanta head to Udinese on Saturday hoping to extend their unbeaten run to 14 matches. Gian Piero Gasperini's side have won 11 in this impressive streak, which came consecutively before their recent stalemate with Lazio.

They are three points behind leaders Napoli, who they defeated 3-0 away from home in November. Udinese were another team to taste defeat against Atalanta during their glamorous winning streak, so I think the visitors are worth backing to beat them again.

Udinese have drawn their last two matches against Hellas Verona and Torino, but a much tougher fixture awaits them this time around, and I don't think they have what it takes to dent the momentum of this Atalanta side.
