My selections for my football accumulator last week had a disappointing return, with just one of the five tips landing. I'm back this week hoping for a much greater success rate and my attention turns to the Premier League and the League 1 play-offs.

Check out my Football Accumulator Tips for Saturday, May 10 below.

Brentford and both teams to score vs Ipswich (A) @ 7/4

For the first time this season, Brentford have won three games in a row in the Premier League. The Bees look to be hitting form at the right time as they are in contention to finish the campaign in eighth place, which looks set to secure Uefa Conference League football for next season.

Brentford travel to already-relegated Ipswich Town on Saturday, hoping to secure another three points in their pursuit of European football. The Tractor Boys have nothing but pride to play for and they have lost each of their previous seven league fixtures at Portman Road.

With the quality Brentford have up front, namely Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa, who have both scored 18 goals in the top flight, I am confident that they come away with the victory.

I do think Ipswich get on the scoresheet, though, as BTTS has struck in three of the Bees' past four outings in the league, while there were goals at both ends when they met in west London back in October.

Manchester City and both teams to score - No vs Southampton (A) @ 19/20

Manchester City have had a disappointing season by their standards but they still have the chance to claim some silverware as they tussle with Crystal Palace at Wembley in next week's FA Cup final.

Pep Guardiola's side have hit form in recent weeks, winning five of their previous six matches in the top flight. They travel to relegated Southampton on Saturday, who have the worst defensive record in the division (82 goals conceded).

I think City can win this game comfortably without conceding, like they have managed in five of their latest seven victories in the Premier League. They are on a winning run of four games and they have recorded clean sheets in two of their previous three.

Wolves to beat Brighton @ 7/4

Wolves may have seen their six-game winning streak in the Premier League come to an end at Manchester City last Friday but the Old Gold turned in a decent performance, and I don't think the defeat will throw them off course.

Vitor Pereira's side return to Molineux on Saturday to welcome Brighton, who have had a mixed bag of results in their last seven matches. The Seagulls have lost three of their past five away trips in the league and I think they will fall to another one in the West Midlands.

Wolves are playing with confidence and this weekend they are set to welcome back striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, who missed the City trip due to a minor groin problem. The Norwegian has six goals in as many appearances coming into this clash, and he could play a key role for the hosts.

Draw - Leyton Orient vs Stockport @ 15/8

In League 1, Leyton Orient welcome Stockport County to Brisbane Road for the first leg of their play-off semi-final. Both clubs finished the regular campaign in great form, with Orient winning six games on the bounce heading into Saturday, while the Hatters have won six of their past eight contests.

Stockport won 25 matches to the O's 24 across the 46-game campaign and they both ended up scoring 72 goals in the process. There is little to separate the two teams ahead of this tie and I predict that this first leg will be a tight affair, and they may just cancel each other out.

I think a draw could be a smart play, but with the quality on offer, I don't there will be a shortage of goals.
