Total Goals - Under 2.5 in Yokohama FC (H) vs Vissel Kobe (11:00 BST) @ 8/13
The Japan national team is currently gearing up for friendlies against Mexico and the USA. Still, despite the international window, the first legs of the J.League Cup quarter-finals take place on Wednesday, with Yokohama FC taking on Vissel Kobe in one of the four matches.
Neither side will be shorn of their stars due to international fixtures, so both can name full-strength starting XI's at the MNHK Spring Mitsuzawa Football Stadium, with the second leg to take place at the Noevir Stadium on Sunday.
Kobe, who have won back-to-back J.1 League titles, are in contention to lift the trophy again this year, as they are currently third in Japan's top flight, one point off the top. A strong defence has been the foundation of their success so far this term, with only Hiroshima (20) conceding fewer times than Ushi.
They haven't been prolific, though, scoring just 37 times in 29 league matches, and their games only average 2.17 goals. Their opponents in midweek, Yokohama, have found the net just 18 times in the league - only Tokyo Verdy (16) have scored fewer - but they've only allowed 35 into their own net, with their games averaging just 1.53 goals.
The two teams have met twice already this year, exchanging a couple of 1-0 wins, so backing under 2.5 strikes looks like the best bet here.
Match Result - Urawa Red Diamonds (H) to beat Kawasaki Frontale (11:30 BST) @ 13/10
There's been little to separate the teams this season, with the Urawa Red Diamonds seventh in the J1 League after 28 games played, two points ahead of eighth-place Kawasaki, and their only head-to-head this year was a 2-2 draw at the Kawasaki Todoroki Stadium on May 21.
Kawasaki haven't visited the Saitama Stadium since a 1-1 draw stalemate there in November last year, and it's a venue where Urawa have been so strong in 2025; in fact, the Reds have claimed 35 points from 15 league games at home, at least five more than any other side, boasting an 11-2-2 record. They've won four of their last five home matches, and will fancy their chances of beating Kawasaki, given Wednesday's visitors have lost two of their last four away contests.
Total Goals - Over 3.5 in Honefoss BK Women (H) vs Valerenga Women (17:00 BST) @ 5/6
Valerenga have won the last two Toppserien titles, and sitting second, four points off leaders Brann with nine games left of the 2025 season, are targeting a hat-trick.
Nils Lexerod's side have won 14 of their 18 league games this season, and six of the 11 points they have dropped have come against Brann. They've scored 50 goals, conceding 12 times, with their games averaging 3.44 strikes.
Their opponents at the Honefoss Stadion on Wednesday, Honefoss, are sixth in the 10-team table, 25 points behind them, and their games are only averaging 2.67 goals per game.
However, Valerenga are responsible for 30.9% (11) of the 34 goals Honefoss have conceded this year, after thrashing them 4-0 away on April 29, and 7-0 at home on June 19.
Valerenga warmed up for this match with a 4-0 victory over Slavia Prague (A) in the Uefa Champions League qualifying rounds last Saturday, and over 3.5 total goals has landed in two of their last three games across all competitions. I'm backing the away side for another big win on Wednesday.

Match Result - Gateshead (H) to beat Altrincham FC (19:45 BST, DAZN) @ 13/8
Moving to the National League in England for our final two fixtures of this acca, the first sees Gateshead host Altrincham at the Gateshead International Stadium.
Gateshead finished one point and one place off the play-offs last season, and have made a strong start to the current campaign, claiming 10 points from their first six games. They've conceded the most goals (14) in the division, but only Aldershot (18) and leaders Rochdale (13) have scored more than the Tynesiders, who are unbeaten in their last three matches, winning two.
Altrincham, meanwhile, have taken four fewer points than Gateshead, and sit 16th heading into Wednesday's contest. They beat the Heed 1-0 at this venue on February 15, but are pointless after three away games in 2025/26, suffering three consecutive 2-1 defeats on their travels.
The Robins began their season with a 3-2 victory over Aldershot, but lost four of their next five, and look set for more disappointment on the road in midweek.
Match Result - Hartlepool (H) to beat Boston United (19:45 BST, DAZN) @ 3/5
Staying in the North East, we head to Hartlepool's Victoria Park, where Boston United pitch up on Wednesday.
Hartlepool are unbeaten after their first six fixtures, winning four and drawing twice, while only Southend, in a 1-1 draw at Roots Hall, have been able to breach their defence, which has kept five clean sheets.
Pools won their first two home games, beating Braintree 2-0 and Woking 3-0, but were hamstrung in their third last Saturday by a 54th-minute red card shown to defender Maxim Kouogun, and could only draw 0-0 to Boreham Wood.
If they keep 11 men on the field in midweek, though, the hosts will fancy their chances of picking up all three points.
Boston United won 3-2 at Aldershot in their first match, but lost three of their next four, failing to score in all three defeats.
