Match Result - FK Partizan (H) to beat FK IMT Novi Beograd (18:00 BST) @ 4/9

We start in the Serbian Super League, where Partizan will be looking to maintain their perfect start to the new season.

The Belgrade-based club have won their first three league games, scoring 10 goals, although they suffered disappointment in the third qualifying round of the Uefa Conference League last Thursday, suffering an extra-time exit to Hibernian in Edinburgh.

Football Odds

Back in league action on Monday, and back on Belgrade soil at the Stadion Partizana, Partizan will be desperate to right their European wrongs and draw back level on points with early pacesetters and eight-time defending champions, Red Star Belgrade.

Their opponents, IMT Novi Beograd, have lost two of their first four games and were battered 4-1 at home by Zeleznicar Pancevo last week. The visitors finished 10th in last season's Super League before the end-of-season split, 26 points behind runners-up Partizan, although they did share the points in both head-to-heads, drawing 0-0 at home before playing out a 1-1 away.

Partizan were in rampant mood last time out in the league, smashing Napredak 7-2 in Krusevac, and their firepower should prove too much for their next opponents.

Match Result - UD Almeria (H) to beat Albacete Balompie (20:30 BST) @ 8/13

Over in Spain, Almeria begin their La Liga 2 campaign on Monday with a game against Albacete.

The hosts finished sixth last season, 11 points ahead of the visitors (10th), securing their place in the play-offs; however, they were beaten 3-2 over two legs by Real Oviedo, and have been consigned to another term in the second tier.

Today's Football Fixtures

Almeria were strong at the UD Almeria Stadium in 2024/25, with only Mirandes (50) and Elche (48) accruing more points at home than La Union (46), and one of their victories came against Albacete (3-1) last October.

Albacete, meanwhile, were poor travellers, with only Malaga (16), Racing Club Ferrol (14), Tenerife and Cartagena (both eight) picking up fewer points away from home than Queso Mecenico.

Granted, Almeria have lost last season's Golden Boot winner, Luis Suarez, to Sporting CP, but have signed Huesca's Patrick Soko, who struck 13 times in La Liga 2, and retained the services of 10-goal marksman Leo Bapitstao, while Andre Horta (loan, Braga), Fedrico Bonini (Catanzaro) and Daijiro Chirino (Castellon) are other notable additions.

At home, I'm backing Almeria to start their new season off with all three points as they look to lay down an early marker in the promotion race.

Match Result - Volta Redonda FC (H) to beat CRB (23:00 BST) @ 6/5

In the Brazilian Serie B, Volta Redonda host CRB at the Estadio Raulino de Oliveira in Rio de Janeiro.

Voltaco (17th) are six places and six points behind CRB in the table, but their home record, coupled with the visitors' results on the road, points towards the three points remaining in Rio.

Monday's hosts have collected 19 points from 10 league games at home (W5, D4, L1), and only Cuiaba (0-1), on the opening day of the season, have beaten them at the Estadio Raulino de Oliveira. Fourth-placed Novorizontino held them to a goalless draw there last time out, but prior to that stalemate, Volta Redonda had won three straight matches there.

CRB, meanwhile, won their first away game of the campaign 2-1 at Athletic Club on April 13, but are 10 without a victory since (D3, L7), and only Amazonas and Volta Redonda (both three) have picked up fewer points on their travels in Serie B.

Match Result - Junior (H) to beat Atletico Bucaramanga (23:15 BST) @ 1/1

We end the night in Barranquilla, Colombia, where Junior take on Atletico Bucaramanga in the Clausura.

Junior are top of the table, despite playing one game fewer than the rest of the top six, having won four and drawn two of their opening six. They've scored more goals (14) than any other side, while only Llaneros (four) and Tolima (five) have conceded fewer than Los Tiburones (six).

Their visitors at the Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Melendez on Monday, Bucaramanga, are 12th, but have only played four times compared to Junior's six. They've won their last two and are unbeaten in their last couple against Junior, but on their last visit to the Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Melendez, in May last year, were beaten 1-0, and have lost four of their last five at this venue, including both fixtures there in 2024.
