Football Accumulator Tips: 24/1 for Friday’s treble

We’ve made it to the end of the working week, and this Friday there’s a few football fixtures taking place. We’ve got a quarter-final from the Women’s European Championship to look forward to, while there is also plenty of action from elsewhere for us to get stuck into.

Spain to beat Switzerland with -3 handicap

The odds-on favourites to win the European Championship are in quarter-final action on Friday night, as they face Switzerland at Stadion Wankdorf in Bern (20:00 BST, BBC One). Spain have looked wonderful so far, and it's what we have come to expect from the world champions, winning three from three in their group. 

Italy, Belgium and Portugal were on the receiving end of 14 Spanish goals as Alexia Putellas and Co. obliterated the opposition in empathic fashion. They are near-certain to qualify here, priced at 1/10 to win in 90 minutes, but they should be able to demolish a Switzerland team that picked up four points in the group, and only made it to the last eight thanks to a 92nd-minute equaliser v Finland. 

This is probably the weakest team left in the competition coming up against the strongest, and given Spain’s habit of scoring three or more goals per game, I’m happy to back them to win at a canter on their way to the semi-finals.

Club General Caballer vs Club 2 de Mayo - Draw 

My little passion for Paraguay burns once again on Friday as the Clausara continues. It’s only the third gameweek of the second season in 2025, and Club General Caballer finished ninth at the end of the Apertura, two places above Friday’s opponents 2 de Mayo. 

However, these two seem incredibly well-matched which gives us the option of backing a draw at a decent price. These two drew 1-1 in gameweek 20 of the Apertura a few months back, and Club 2 de Mayo have a real habit of sharing the spoils. 

They drew 12 of their 22 league fixtures in the Apertura, winning just two games in total as they finished second-bottom. Meanwhile Club General drew five of their 11 home fixtures which stifled their progression up the table. I think this will be another close encounter and think the value lies in a draw.

Sarpsborg vs Rosenborg - Draw 

Norway is our final port of call for Friday’s acca, and once again two very well-matched teams face off against each other, leading me to believe another draw could be on the cards. This selection boosts our acca to 24/1, so let’s get into the reasoning.

Sarpsborg have only lost two of their 13 league matches this season and they are unbeaten in their last seven in all competitions. They sit sixth in the league having played a few games fewer than some of those at the top, while Rosenborg are fourth, five points clear of their hosts having played two more fixtures. 

Rosenborg have been hit and miss so far this season but remain one of Norway’s strongest teams, while these two have already met in the cup, and it finished 2-2 after extra time, before Sarpsborg won on penalties. I’m happy to back parity once more at a big price.
