Christmas is just around the corner but there is still plenty of football in Europe with a packed programme on Wednesday night.

There are games in France, Germany and Scotland which should all be of interest and we have come up with a four-match accumulator from across the continent which would pay out at 12/1.

Football Accumulator Tips: Wednesday 20th December

  • Union Berlin to beat Cologne @ 19/20
  • Aberdeen to beat Livingston @ 8/13
  • Lille to beat Strasbourg @ EVS
  • Marseille to beat Montpellier @ 11/10

Union Berlin to beat Cologne @ 19/20

Union Berlin have found it hard to live up to last season when they earned a Champions League spot, but they can ease their relegation fears with a win over fellow strugglers Cologne.

Union took three points from their last home game with Borussia Monchengladbach and were beaten by a late goal after a spirited performance against Real Madrid, so they should be able to bounce back from their weekend defeat to Bochum in this one.

The Goats, meanwhile, have scored just three goals in their last seven league games and the only team they have beaten on the road this year are bottom-of-the-table Darmstadt.

Aberdeen to beat Livingston @ 8/13

Aberdeen suffered the disappointment of defeat to Rangers in the Scottish League Cup final on Sunday, but their recent home wins over Hearts and Eintracht Frankfurt should have lifted the mood after a disappointing start to the season.

Barry Robson’s team should have too much for goal-shy Livingston, who have not scored in their last seven matches and have found the net in just four of their last 16 league away games.

Lille to beat Strasbourg @ EVS

Lille grabbed a point with a late goal at home to Paris Saint-Germain at the weekend that extended their unbeaten run to 15 matches and they can keep that going with a win in their final Ligue 1 outing of the year at Strasbourg.

Les Dogues have not suffered an away defeat since 27th August and although seven of their last ten on the road have been draws, they should still have enough to win at Strasbourg.

Their hosts have won their last two matches against Le Havre and Lorient, but this looks tougher against a side who have conceded just 12 goals in 16 league games this term.

Marseille to beat Montpellier @ 11/10

Marseille will be disappointed to find themselves sixth in Ligue 1, but there has been evidence lately that Gennaro Gattuso’s side have got their act together, winning their last four league games and scoring 11 goals in the process.

They should be confident of getting a full return from their trip to Montpellier. Their hosts ended a six-match winless run by beating Metz at the weekend, but they are facing a good team in top form and that could prove too much.
