Panama vs El Salvador Prediction: Hosts expected to dominate

Panama host El Salvador at the Rommel Fernandez Stadium on Wednesday (01:00 GMT) in the final round of Concacaf World Cup qualifiers. The Canal Men are level on nine points with Suriname at the top of Group A, but an inferior goal difference means that Thomas Christiansen’s men will need results to go their way.

Team News
Right-back Michael Amir Murillo is a big absentee for Panama, but the hosts can call on experienced midfield duo Alberto Quintero and Anibal Godoy, who have a combined 295 caps for their national side.
Brayan Gil and Jefferson Valladares are suspended for the visitors, and El Salvador will also be without Mauricio Cerritos and Nathan Ordaz.
Panama are red-hot 1/7 favourites to give themselves a chance of automatic qualification, El Salvador are 14/1, and the draw is an 11/2 chance.
Over 2.5 goals in an 8/15 shot and both teams to score is 6/4.
Over 3.5 Goals @ 11/8
Panama sit level on nine points with Suriname at the top of their Concacaf World Cup group, and there is only one automatic qualification spot up for grabs.
The Canal Men are three goals inferior to Suriname, and Christiansen’s men may need a special result against El Salvador.
Panama are unbeaten in their last 11 matches, and the Canal Men were 3-2 winners in a high-scoring clash against Guatemala last week.
El Salvador were crushed 4-0 in Suriname last time out, and with Panama requiring a wide-margin success, the Panama City contest should go over 3.5 goals.

Panama to win both halves @ 23/20
El Salvador's 4-0 loss in Suriname last week made it four straight defeats for the National Team.
Hernan Darío Gomez’s men lost both halves of that tie, and the numbers were quite alarming.
El Salvador conceded 14 shots to Suriname, and they gave up an expected goals tally of 3.05.
A repeat of those figures is likely to see Panama win both halves of a contest in which they will be going all-out for victory.
